I have to sit for my back. I also have arm guards but don't wear them as much. Uh yeah I can be quite messy. I use a hammer and an old pair of thick jeans. I have a short video on it. It’s really easy! Believe it or not, the glass is not edgy and sharp. I would not shave my legs with it, lol, but I had no issues with it.

How do you know how much to charge? Love your work.

Thank you! Pricing is Trial and error, lol. I use even numbers, Like $20 or $30. The smaller trees like this are $20, which is a good price point in my market. I might charge $40 for a larger one.

Love the idea, where do you find the boards or wood? thks

I sneak into neighbor’s yards in the dead of night. Jk. We replaced our back fence, and I saved most of the boards. I also salvaged from neighbors who were also replacing fencing. You can buy the boards at home improvement stores too. Pallet wood works also.

Why not just mix your glass in resin and then apply it to the wood??? It would have a clearer finish and make the glass sparkle! I hate modge podge because it yellows over time and much faster than resin.
@ACoastalMagnolia

That’s an idea too, it would use a lot more resin this way.

Wonderful video. I love the concept! However, Please add the Liquid Stone Resin to your supply list. For this project you say that’s what you’re using, but the link is for the Liquify resin. As a beginner, I almost missed that what you were using was not the same resin.

Just a thought with the resin - would a BBQ Sauce brush (the silicone kind with the multiple thin “fingers” for saucing ribs, etc.). work for getting a nice, thick layer on and slightly working it into the spaces ?. Love the Christmas trees.

Your trees are so beautiful. Love the palm trees too!! The craft shows I have attended in NC have nothing like this. I love creative work that reuses found items. You put things together and make them each different and beautiful.

Those trees are the most beautiful things in glass I've ever seen. How much do you charge for the Christmas trees and the Palm trees? They are so gorgeous. How do you crush the glass? Alice from the Cayman Islands.

Wow, thank you so much! I normally charge $20 for these smaller ones, and a bit more for larger ones if I make one on glass or a large piece of wood. Crushing the glass is a great way to get rid of stress! Here is a video on how I did it, although I am sure there are better ways. Have fun! kzitem.info/news/bejne/mW6E0qSIfnyWpmUsi=k0gLnVwN0lc5WZzK

Hi, I LOVE your videos! Do you always use mod podge when making your Christmas trees? Some people seem to just use the resin
@ACoastalMagnolia

Thank you! I don’t always use Mod Podge. I mainly use resin because I think it holds better. But it’s nice to have an alternative to resin for folks who prefer not to use it. Happy crafting!

Wondering if gloves and mask are not required for the resin you are .Many resin artists I've watched say you should always use protection when working with resins.
@ACoastalMagnolia

I do wear gloves if I am going to be touching the resin. But I work in an open space with lots of ventilation, and that is also the recommendation of resin manufacturers. Always be safe!

Hi Save yourself the time and expense of hodge podge and mix the glass with resin in a plastic container. Keep the resin minimal since it will free flow as it becomes the consistency of water.

That’s great feedback. It’s hard to make a video that’s perfect for everyone. Some people like longer videos with more instruction, so you could always use the fast-forward button. I use it often.
