The longer time passes, the more modern losok like legacy, and legacy looks like vintage.

Also as I said elsewhere, I believe this deck should be called Bananaphone since the strategy is "ring ring ring ring ring, Bananaphone." And the Bananaphone is, of course, Aetherflux Reservoir which makes the opponent's head explode just like in the old meme video.

@@TonyScapone have you ever thought of running random 1 of artifacts in the board for specific matchup like maybe platinum angel for thos non interactive matchups or Wondrous Crucible for the heavy interaction matchups. would allow you to play transmute on coveted jewel and use the extra mana to go to 7.
@TonyScapone

@Creme_theDON why not just win the game instead of "not losing it"? Crucible is really weak.
@Creme_theDON

@@TonyScapone i mean you can win any game with a ham sandwich on mtgo, its not hard. i'm just saying, you're not always going to be in the best position to just go for the win, otherwise this would be the best deck because you're saying we just always have it
@TonyScapone
8 ай бұрын
@Creme_theDON im saying if you have mana and tutor to get a 7 drop artifact, you better damn well win the game and under hardly any circumstabces would this be better than going for it because yes, by legacy's standards- a deck like this wins on the spot an alarmingly high % of the time when given that sort of access.

This is fantastic. Just ordered my transmutes, played TEG for 1,5 years and i think we have a hard time with bowmasters today. This deck solves that in a fantastic way. I love tinker and this is as close as it gets in legacy. Is it just cute to try citadel? Im pretty sure you dont need it and the mana cost in this deck are a little too high.

I think it is only viable with LED (and naturally Echo) shells. Gotta resolve the card early otherwise we don't really have life total to work with.

Reading the Oracle text for Transmute Artifact, I don't understand why it works with Jewel. Transmute Artifact says "If [the card's mana value] is greater, you may pay X, where X is the difference. If you do, put it onto the battlefield. If you don't, put it into its owner's graveyard." So shouldn't Jewel never ETB and draw cards/tap for mana since you're not paying the mana difference? Is this super janky rules wording or is the deck based on MTGO jank?
@TonyScapone
8 ай бұрын
U pay the difference in mana cost from what you sacrificed, not transmute artifact. If u sac a 6 drop, you can get anything 6 or less for free. If you sac a 3 drop, you can get three or less for free (a 4 drop would then cost 1 additional etc)
@quatzecoatl1795

@@TonyScapone oh I thought you were saying in the Deck Tech that you could bring in jewel, draw cards/tap for mana, then decline to pay and let it die - sort of like Flash or Dreadnaught+Mycosynth Garden. Misunderstood ya

@TonyScapone Watched through the PO videos including the early ones I missed from before I started playing again. Curious since I'm too much of boomer millennial to use twitch - this does replace PO as likely the most reliable form of this shell at the moment right? I'm very interested in running one of these decks. The City of Traitors and One Rings are the only pick ups I need. I'm willing to do it tho Awesome deck brewing!
@TonyScapone

@AArdW01f it is possible but currently it is too early to tell and they both have some very sharp differences that may wind up just resulting in 2 comparable but different decks that have their own pros/cons. I'll be making a video shortly on the latest Jewel list. Justin Genari AKA 'IAmActuallyLVL1' will be playing it on twitch tonight and then posting on YT shortly afterwards.
