Hey everyone! Hope you are well 😊 This was a really fun one to film, so many delicious foods that I couldn't even try most of them! Let me know in the comments what I should try if I go back again! I am seeing comments saying I shouldn't give food to the kids as it is setting a bad example.. I understand where you guys are coming from but it is a tough situation! If I ignore them when I know they are just hungry then that seems just as bad to me.. I was just trying to be nice, nothing more than that 😅 Anyway this is not something I do often so please try to enjoy the video regardless and know I have taken your comments onboard for the future. Much love 💖

@3:34 Hey Josh! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to give you a quick tip regarding greetings in Tagalog. While "Mabuhay" is a formal and traditional way of welcoming someone, it might sound a bit too formal for regular conversations. Instead, you can use more colloquial greetings in English with the addition of "po" to show respect and politeness. Here are a few examples: - "Hi po!" - "Hello po!" - "Good morning po!" - "Good afternoon po!" Using these greetings will make your conversations sound more natural and friendly. Keep it up! 💪🏼😉

21:35 You won't get sick from consuming ice in the Philippines, not like in India. Most of the ice here are from purified water. What's more, you bought from a decent halo-halo store. Just don't buy drinks from any street vendors so hastily. Look if everything he does is according to proper sanitary standards. You will have a gut feeling if something feels off.
@TeacherEric173
10 ай бұрын
Monggo (Mong-go) is "Mung Beans" and is a ubiquitous green bean in Southeast Asia. Ube is "Purple Yam", Halo-Halo literally means - Mix-Mix. To fully enjoy the delightful taste of Halo-Halo, it's essential to mix all the ingredients starting from the bottom and working your way up. This ensures that each spoonful has a perfect blend of the various flavors and textures that make this dessert so unique and delicious. Don't miss out on the refreshing sweetness of the fruits, the creamy goodness of the milk, and the crunch of the shaved ice. So, take your spoon and start stirring until you reach the perfect Halo-Halo mix. Leche Flan is "Milk Custard", while Calamansi or Lemoncito is "Philippine Lime."

Hello Josh. I know you're very new in thos endeavor with vlogging. But a lot of people already mentioned it here on your comments. And they are true. If you keep giving money or food, you teach kids to not work and be lazy. You'll end up being scammed and whatnot. These advise are coming from a lot of Filipinos and we're looking out for visitors. Just.. dont give too much. It teaches them the wrong ideas. It also gives them the idea that foreign tourists are ATMs. And it also shows the world that we look so poor that foreigners need to take pity on us giving us leftovers and whatnot. Nobody wins. Just advise. Be careful. I know your heart is in the right place, you are such a kind and sweet person. But have boundaries too! But yeah.. welcome to the country! 🎉

"Maliit" is when you describe the size of a person, animal or thing. "Konti lang" is the proper way to describe a small amount. So if someone asks you if you want it spicy or if you want some condiments you can tell them "konti lang po".
@Naobe02

Hi Josh, you can always customize your food just ask them politely (with “PO” at the end of each phrase).You can ask to lessen the milk/sugar/salt etc. It’s okay and not offending, even us locals do that often bc ppl have diff. preferences. Also so you can enjoy it more and not be shocked with strong taste.

I think I know why you said, the Philippines is the most FUN COUNTRY IN THE WHOLE ASIA. 1. You can communicate easily and capture their feelings. 2. The people respected you. 3. The prices are cheap. 4. The foods and drinks suits you. 5. And, you like people to people interactions. My advice is: you should print business cards and give it to people so you channel grow will exponentially. Next, go to DIVISORIA and bargain cheap and knockoff products - it's fun and you will appreciate the Filipino more. (a walk distance from Tondo). Give the products to the people.
