So you spent the cost of 7 asics on GPU's and CPU's ? LMAO Oups...
@BearMarketMiner
6 ай бұрын
That's right, ASICS are not my thing. Nosier, more power hungry, far less utility compared to a GPU. Algorithm dependent. Lots of reason ASIC'S aren't suitable for a home miner, but to each their own!

@@jonathanlaprise189 Reprogrammable FPGA like the e300 and others can download bitstreams for many algorithms and always releasing more.
@LeeFall

Also you can program FPGA's like the e300 by osprey electronics to run many algo's and new bitstreams for algo's get released, unlike asic which do one algo. Its all about ROI and you get your money back faster with asic/fpga. Bitmain are already working on a zephyr miner/ bitstream so get some while you can with those cpu's.... Watch miners like Rabid and most of his stuff is asics/fpga and never turns his GPU's as the profits suck even with 11 cent per kw power. Good luck though..

It is really risky to start mining after the mining bust. The good thing is you know how you want to pursue this venture and your future plans for it without relying on it. In 2006 my brother kept nagging my face off about mining bit so I caved and we mined from 2011. We held and bailed in 2021. It is the only time in my life I am glad I listened to him and that we dumped before the bottom fell out. It is amazing how much the mining has changed. "Pizza for bitcoins?" Cheers mate.

Yep, always gotta have an exit strategy. Fortunately for me this is just a hobby, so there isn't the pressure of "what happens if it all goes bust" which is a nice feeling. I'm assuming you did pretty well for yourself if you started back in 2011. Image being that guy, the pain he would feel every time he hears the word "bitcoin" that's a big ouch

Someone had to be that guy. We sold up in June 2021 so we had not hit that cap in November but we ended up with very comfortable nest eggs. I feel for those that latched on to mining late that actually think it will be a source of income right now. It never will be. Some of us mined when the value was .20p a block lol. It took a further several years to see it was not just electricity wasted. Wish you the best, BTC will have value again when the world powers ruin capital as we know it and BTC will be a huge back market currency that is widely accepted. We took our "winnings" and invested in dozens of properties. It is always 1 investment to another. Liquid currency is just a way to lose everything to the governments.@@BearMarketMiner

I agree, its only up form here for BTC and Crypto in general. If only I had a time machine so I could find the "top" every time and sell off. Wouldn't that be nice

@@BearMarketMiner what if you didn't have solar panels and on the grid? I didn't buy them because I had a lot of other things to do on the house. I think sometimes in the near future. I would have to invest in solar panels because of how much power is increasing.

If I didn't have them I would still be profitable at my rate, but would be making much less. Solar is the way to go. Even you don't want to get a battery. My revenue per kw/h mining crypto is around 0.31 cents, If i sold it back tot he grid it would be around 0.05c per KwH
