@MessiGoku-hb4ly I miss 2012 more than 2019. Why? Because this year was DEFINITELY the best year of the 2010s in my opinion (back when things transitioned from the 2000s to the CORE 2010s). Nearly everything seemed to peak in 2012! From movies, to music, to food products and even new theme park rides. The summer of 2012 was GOOD! You had REAL hit songs, Minecraft, water parks and ice cream GALORE the entirety of that season (from June to September astrologically)! Life was SO fun and simple then! I didn't wanna grow up!! :) Also remember the HYPER infamous "end of the world" theory? As half the population thought that the world was actually going to end in December 2012? Welp, it might have DID ended (but just very slowly). A video on this topic will be coming soon to my channel! As a crazy conspiracy theorist talking about 2012! I'm telling ya, life really don't feel the same since 2012!!!! :/

@MessiGoku-hb4ly I do too, up until December 21st (when I have actually felt a weird shift on the Earth). The world DID end in 2012, just very slowly. That's why everything today sucks! :( But alas, 2012 was (mostly) a good year for me! The summer of 2012 was AMAZING. Songs were memorable and iconic! I went to Six Flags New England for the first time, mainly to ride Goliath (as I saw advertised on TV). Vacationed at the Attitash (again). And saw 4th of July fireworks during a thunderstorm! :O

Yes, me as well! :( 2016-2019 were just, THE LAST GOOD YEARS EVER!!! Before everything went to frick in 2020. I've lost everything SINCE that atrocious year! My old house (moved out), my grandpa (he died), my friends (they have ghosted me), etc. Disney is DEAD, and I simply like to now call it SHITSNEY! That 1 famous company that I was loyal to ever since I was a baby, I want to ABANDON now. They've destroyed Splash Mountain, jacked up prices, discontinued the original Country Bear Jamboree (at Magic Kingdom) and simply became WOKE in general! Ruined Star Wars, made their cast members RUDE and most their old 70s & 80s attractions are CLOSED. I really wanted to ride Mr. Toad's Wild Ride so badly! But I was born over a year AFTER it closed at Magic Kingdom (1999). Swim at River Country! I don't remember it existing at Fort Wilderness and it closed in 2001. Explore Discovery Island, and go on the ORIGINAL Journey Into Imagination at what was known as EPCOT Center! Have memorable vacation in a time before I was born! Too bad that Michael Eisner resigned in 2005, because HE saved The Walt Disney Company from going down under. Spot is now just a walking corpse of a preschool puppy character ever since Eric Hill has passed away back in 2014. His new books are SHIT and I refuse to read them, as his biggest fan for over 20 years! He especially ruined Halloween for today's kids by dressing up like a cancerous COVID spreading bat in 1 book! I'm still anticipating his reboot currently being developed by Guru Studio, possibly set to come out in 2025, though. But if it fails, then I'll stop becoming interested in Spot forever. Christmas lights have been SO TACKY ever since the pandemic. And sir, not many streets are even lit up anymore! I'm a Masshole since 1999. Rockvale Road in Tewksbury, Massachusetts is DEAD and you should know this if you grew up in New England. Entire road was lit just like a Department56 holiday village! My own Christmas light display in Winchester, Massachusetts. GONE after moving houses! Saugus is just BARELY hanging on with their popular Lynn Fells Parkway lights tradition nowadays because everyone there is OLD and can no longer create over the top spectacles like the ones I've seen mainly as a teenager in the 2010s. So thus? You'll see LESS lights when compared to years past! :( Everything has been unaffordable since Joe Biden took over in 2021. I definitely won't survive by 2030!!! And yes sir, I can just go on and on! Write a whole book about the old days vs. today if I must. I feel like someone's grandpa (even though I'm JUST 24)! The pandemic has made me age SUPER FAST! And now, I want, to CRY! ;O Are we EVER gonna go back in fyou king time or not?! It's been my dream since childhood to use time travel and fix my past life changing mistakes that I regret making in the first place! Also, to relive memories that are now destroyed. Otherwise, I don't want to live on this planet anymore!

Same here man. I miss 2019 too because I was actually out doing things over the Summer. Trump was president. Colonial Soldier arcade was still in business. COVID and COPPA weren't that bad yet. Great movies like Bumblebee, Alita, Avengers Endgame and Toy Story 4. No awful music like WAP and Stay, No terrible TV shows like the Disney Plus Marvel shows, Obi Wan, Velma, Squid Game and Gen V. Celebrities such as Kobe Bryant, Neil Peart, Chadwick Boseman, Norm Spencer, Michael Kopsa, Kevin Conroy, Leji Matsumoto, Ray Stevenson, Paul Reubens, Steve Harwell, Peter Spellos, Pauline Newstone and Carl Weathers as well as my Facebook friends Mikey Sutton and Fred Kopetz were still alive. Tik Tok and Zoom weren't popular yet and my library still had video game night every month. Those are just a few reasons why I miss that year so bad.

It is the same with me! Summer 2019 was good as I actually did things during it. Went to, I think, FOUR water parks in New Hampshire (Casino Cascade Waterslide in Hampton Beach which got torn down for a parking lot, Water Country in Portsmouth, Kahuna Laguna in North Conway which is actually closed for good now due to a fire, and Whale's Tale in Lincoln), a carnival in Lexington, Massachusetts (for the 4th of July), rode my bike down the then new Tri-Community Greenway in Massachusetts and drank the sacred Orange Vanilla Coke often before it got discontinued! Also, the songs of summer 2019. Actually LISTENABLE compared to what we'll get for summer 2024! Other reasons (as responses to your list). 1. When Donald Trump was president, things were actually going good for America (don't listen to the toxic media). Especially the LOW inflation rates! For example, you could buy a a shit ton of groceries without breaking the bank. With Joe Biden in office, on the other hand, groceries now cost THREE TIMES the Trump era prices! Plus, all the crimes he has committed against us United States citizens! 2. This place called East Sakura was still in business! It was one of many businesses we lost due to the pandemic. The East Sakura was a Chinese buffet style restaurant located in Salem, Massachusetts (where my grandpa, now dead, has lived in). He wanted to go there for his birthday beginning in like 2013 with the whole family coming along! While the food was mediocre (me no fan of Chinese food), the atmosphere was actually quite gorgeous. The most magical part of the experience was when, due to my grandpa's birthday party going on, an audio recording of American/Chinese descent children would loudly sing "Happy Birthday" in English and in the key of F Major for all to hear through the PA. While not my favorite song (I actually cried to this almost every single year till I was a teen), the rest of my family liked it! I did not go there in 2019, but it was still there for others to go to! :/ 3. COVID was just an epidemic in China, and COPPA did not become an official update for KZitem yet. 4. The movies in 2019 were good! In fact, the last time I saw my old friends was in summer 2019 to watch Toy Story 4! The TRUE end of Toy Story. 5. Most the music in 2019 was better than today's crap! 6. TV in 2019 was decent. Bluey made her debut on Disney Junior and INSTANTLY captured the hearts of many American people! Spongebob's 20th anniversary special came out on Nickelodeon (Spongebob's Big Birthday Blowout). Qubo was still on air, and Doki (the best modern show on that channel imo) was still there in reruns! Golf (my favorite sport that I actually play with my Dad) was still pretty watchable. The LAST year plenty of people has continued to hold on to cable was 2019! Ever since 2020, cord cutting has increased TREMENDOUSLY! 7. Sorry to hear what happened to your Facebook friends! I miss Neil Peart, the drummer of Rush, so bad. 8. Zoom Meetings was founded in 2012, and Tik Tok in 2018. I still remember when Zoom was just a TV show on PBS Kids, and Tik Tok was just a silly song by Kesha! In 2000s. 9. Nice that your local library had a night dedicated to gaming each month! I just miss seeing my old local library in Winchester, Massachusetts. The place I rented plenty of books and DVDs from! :(

Oh my god, me too! Most people assume that it's AGE being the reason that things don't hit the same no more! Well that ain't true! Things really were better back in decades like the 2000s and 2010s! Of course, most people have ONLY focused on the negatives and use that excuse to make you feel bad that you grew up in times you CAN'T change. I know such bullcrap like 9/11, Hurricane Katrina and the economic recession happened in the 00s! In the 10s, a ton of tragedies. But I tried to look at the positives MORE than the negatives! These days in the 20s, it's more negatives than positives to look at. Even VACATIONS don't feel the same (in fact, they are incredibly stressful and horrible nowadays), and I'm forced to go on 1 really soon. TO THE NETHERLANDS! Thank my worthless Dad (who is poor af). Long ass plane rides before having to meet my strange new Dutch step family. Hopefully I'll hit up Tikibad AND its next door neighbor Duinrell (the best holiday park ever) but even THEN it's not gonna hit the same! The only reason I wanna go to Wassenaar is to pass the time, NOT remember it! :( You poor 2008 baby. I'm hoping that you're so grateful that you grew up in the 2010s and remember life being SO much better then! Today's kids are never gonna experience such joy in the simplest of things!
2019 was, in my opinion, the only decent year of the late 2010s. It is marginally less chaotic than any other year after 2015. And it is light years more tolerable than even the least mediocre year of the 2020s (2023). People overlook the countless scientific breakthroughs and significant events of 2019 and instead focus on the negatives (yes 2019 was not great but still held numerous merits to balance the flaws). I have a soft spot for 2019 in my heart. It was a year of new experience and opportunity, truly the most fun year of my life despite the bitter end of the year for me. As for the 2020s, it has been the worst decade I have lived through, and will possibly be considered worse than the 1940s. From my analysis in hindsight, 2023, despite being one of the least eventful years of the 21st century, turned out to be considerably better year than 2020, 2021, and 2022. The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic gradually faded, Russia’s advance on Ukraine was occasionally thwarted, more people were returning to work, among other recoveries that were made. In terms of my life 2023 was a decent year in spite of my severe depression and stress during the summer, though I’m almost sure that it wasn’t great for you, for which you have my condolences. I’d love to know your opinions Jason. I was totally elated the minute I knew you returned! I hope you upload more in your free time.

I can agree! Seems to me that 2013-2018 were CRAP when compared to the early 2010s (2010-2012), which I thought was the last good time period EVER but 2019 DID end the 2010s decade decently outside of COVID, of course! Which originated in November 2019 (the same time period Blue's Clues & You! premiered on Nick Jr.). I knew how much LESS chaotic 2019 was compared to 2024 (which this year is nearly an exact copy of 2019, calendar wise except for the first 2 months as it's a leap year). At first, I was looking forward to 2024 because it would be the FIRST year of this decade to feel like 2019! But about 4 months later, ouch. Things aren't looking good! :( I say that 2024 is the least mediocre year of the 2020s so far. Because 2023 was the worst year of my life! And 2019 wasn't great when compared to, let's say, 2012 but was pretty good. That was the last year when things were actually NORMAL and new things used to excite me! Instead of the worthless Biden plunging our country into sheer chaos, Trump kept America VERY stable. Orange Vanilla Coke was released that year and it was my love at first sip, lol! Movies were good and 2019 would be the theater's TRUE last gasp of a year before COVID shuttered many of them down in 2020 (some have NEVER recovered). And of course there was the summer, which was incredibly chill! I went to carnivals, mini golf courses, a train going up and down the side of a mountain (Mt. Washington Cog Railway in New Hampshire) and other fun places often! Instead of being cooped up inside my home. Best part of summer 2019, besides the aforementioned Orange Vanilla Coke and the music, was Water Country! As that summer, I was a season pass holder to that iconic water park in New England. If you don't know what Water Country is, it's an outdoor water park (first opening in 1984 and formerly ran by a local family) located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire that was well known for an iconic commercial jingle that Palace Entertainment brutally changed last year. It originally went like this! 🎵When the sun is blazing and the summer gets hot, Water Country is a very cool spot! There's no better place to feel and be young. Water Country! (x3) Have some fun! 🎵 The Patriot was a new freefall water slide that I dared myself to go down. I felt like I was gonna fall off the slide and die! The first time I slid down it. I also liked Christmas 2019 (even though that year's holiday season was shorter than the average as it officially started on November 29th, the day after Thanksgiving)! Why? Because my grandpa was still alive (RIP to him), the kiss cookies were good, A Charlie Brown Christmas still aired on ABC (for the last time to many wonderful people across the nation before Apple took it away beginning in 2020) and there were Christmas lights everywhere in greater Boston! This included my own display on Richardson Street in Winchester, the entirety of Elijah Street in Woburn, Rockvale Road in Tewksbury, and the Lynn Fells Parkway in Saugus. All these lights brightened up the very dark and snowy winter we Massholes often get! Half of these are no longer happening since 2020, and I bet I missed many more! Sadly I did not watch Spot's Magical Christmas (the full video) in 2019 as I didn't have its 2010 DVD release distributed by BBC yet. But I did watch The Grinch, Frosty and the first Spongebob Christmas episode! :( The 2020s are everyone's worst decade, obviously! I miss the 2000s and 2010s every freaking day. I'll upload once a week, and I hope that's okay with you! I sadly ran all out of fresh new video ideas, and CANNOT continue running TechMasterJason Redux by summer 2025.

@@TMJRedux1999 I’m glad that 2024 has not been the same cyclone of misery for you as it had been for me. I see you did a lot of exciting activities in 2019 based on this video and your comments, attending festivals and carnivals, traveling, sight-seeing, and appreciating other means of entertainment that still existed then. I don’t live in the United States and am not familiar with the locations you lived in or visited, but I’d definitely consider it as a vacation destination before I die. With regard to the political climate in the US, with Biden influencing the affairs of state for the past 4 years, I sure as hell don’t want to see him in office after this year’s election. Trump may be an eccentric president but was far more competent in managing the economic status of the country. I don’t particularly see 2024 as similar to 2019. It has been a very depressing and frustrating year in almost every sense in terms of my life and the global situations. Movies, music, and video games only serve to brighten my perspective of a year but in general, the quality of a year is not determined by entertainment. Though even in this year, there has literally been zero good films which I have seen so far, no interesting scientific breakthroughs, the economy isn’t getting better, and politics somehow always finds creative ways to get worse. There is only news about issues in the stock market, explosions and disasters, which only highlights the collapse of order we have on our hands. Not to mention the internet has become a stagnant wasteland of bots, little kids, and useless content. I’ve really had enough with everything. He'll save us from World War III beginning. And, my life sucks in 2024 as well (extra college work that I'm drowning in is making me wanna die so bad). Nothing of actual importance has happened this year (so far)! And pop culture is incredibly lame now. I especially hate modern Spot books that are WRONGFULLY credited by Eric Hill (he passed away in 2014 and his remaining family members ain't doing a good job with the stories). Find Spot at the Halloween Party (2021) is the worst Spot book ever made (because Spot is dressed like a bat during COVID and he's SMILING just like an idiotic modern preschooler), and I don't care what anyone says! I’ve been struggling with college too, after finishing 4 Final Exams and having to study for 2 more. For you, I’d suggest having the school recommend you social activities, events, and workshops if your depression starts to impact your learning. @@therealrudy2017 Oh come on now! There is NO WAY you miss the 2000s and 2010s, when you were literally born in 2017! This makes you a whiny dumb mischievous 2020s kid!!! Oh the horror, I think I'm gonna be sick! Real 2000s kid (who is now in his 20s) cannot properly hang around fake 2020s kid!! I'm not a pedophile, I swear! I just like to wear diapers as a fetish, and to feel young again! Me cranky old miserable man now!!! ;( The 2020s are NOT a good decade, and that is ALL 4-5 years so far! The beginning of this decade has obviously set the tone for ALL future years up to 2024 so far. With the COVID and the lockdowns making everyone paranoid. War overseas! High prices on everything. And I can go on! I know that the 2000s and 2010s were good decades, but unlike you, I ACTUALLY EXPERIENCED BOTH OF THEM ENTIRELY! As a 1999 baby. Those times were amazing, since we had everything! Actual food, water, shelter and AC. Good presidents that kept my country stable. Fantastic entertainment with a load of variety! And furthermore. So keep on dreaming, 2017 baby. And grow up and speak like a normal person right freaking now. Otherwise, I'm gonna banish you to the shadow realm! What's it going to be?! Oh wait, I made up my mind THIS SECOND. >:)

YOU'RE SO MEAN TO ME! ;O How fucking dare you talk to me like that. Saying that time travel does not exist! Yes, it does! Think about Einstein's theory of relativity. It must be possible! And, how can I even enjoy this world nowadays when there is almost NOTHING fun for me to do? And everything is so freaking expensive?! Blame your braindead president for plunging America into a dystopian shithole. 2019 (and before) was much better for plenty of valid reasons. And, as someone with SEVERE depression (since 2020) and mild autism (I've had this weird disorder my whole life), I can't do this life shit anymore! Lost nearly everything I've loved. My grandpa, my old house, classic holiday traditions like A Charlie Brown Christmas airing on ABC and furthermore. I just wanna leave this planet for good after my movie, Mashing All the Way, comes out next year! There is pretty much no more hope for humanity anymore. I even tried several therapists, but each one made me feel worse! :( You didn't even feel bad for Spot (who I had to redraw in this picture as the NEW sole person to OFFICIALLY continue Spot the Dog after Eric Hill's death as a HUGE fan of the franchise since childhood) when he was crying over 2019 being gone forever (and getting hit with a snowball from an off screen bully). By the way, THIS is the version of Spot as shown in Spot's Magical Christmas (1995), an animated Christmas special running for about half an hour in length, featuring Eric Hill's beloved puppy character setting off on a journey with his friends to find Santa's sleigh for 2 reindeer, needed for a test run on Christmas Eve. This is actually a VERY underrated Christmas special! When compared to many others. But it will be one of my favorites once I finally get the DVD later this year, next to The Grinch, Frosty, Charlie Brown and Christmas Who? from Spongebob (the BEST Christmas special of all time imo, with great jokes and an excellent musical number). I wish Disney Channel aired it (for once, as it's a direct to video)! But besides this, Christmas was better before 2020 for other good reasons! My grandpa (who is now dead), throwing holiday parties for the whole family. Drinking cranberry flavored Sprite and thick creamy eggnog (I love Hood Golden)! Fresh untouched snow (doesn't happen every year). And seeing Christmas lights everywhere! Massachusetts was a good state for seeing lights (especially in greater Boston area). I had a BIG display of lights at my old house in Winchester! And Tewksbury had one dead end street with an EXTREME amount of lights. I hate Christmas now! >:O

@@GIJoeFan97 I have hated the 2010s beginning in 2013 (because I thought that the early 2010s were great), but by 2020, I actually started to miss the mid to late 2010s as they were actually decent compared to now (unbearable times with EXTREMELY fucking rough living conditions). Of course, more talk on the early 2010s! Many people can agree that, just like the 2000s, these were GREAT freaking times reminiscent of the 00s (atmosphere wise in particular), and having plenty of 00s leftovers plus having the new things this time period has brought us! It was entirely dominated by Barack Obama, the first black president in U.S. history, who did GOOD when compared to the total idiot known as George W. Bush (he pretty much plunged America into a dystopian hellhole and almost nobody liked him, proving how unpopular he was). We were out of the recession that Bush has caused due to his piss poor policies, but Obama has also created better healthcare and saved the auto industry, alongside other good things he did for America! Plus, I love listening to his sexy smooth voice (be it real or AI generated). Joe Biden (his former VP) is the worst president ever in comparison! This man has done NOTHING good for my home country, and we're hoping that Trump wins again so that he can save us all! Also the pop culture, wow! So much variety in TV shows, music, video games and much more. I get nostalgic for a ton of this stuff! And on top of that, I still lived in my hometown (Winchester, Massachusetts) and the holidays were awesome (Christmas ruled in 2010-2012 back when there was EVERYTHING that you'll absolutely fail to create or recreate nowadays). After 2012, things went downhill slowly. But by 2020, things have DIED! We hit the point of no return and there's possibly no going back forever!
