Great advice! I joined WW 40 days ago and have seen the scale barely move. However, I feel better, my digestion is better, I'm eating healthy, and my face is slimmer and my clothing fits better. Those small changes will add up over the 10 months I signed up for. Your video was the perfect thing I needed to hear today! Thank you!

I will share some wisdom as a 46 year old mom and as having recovered from eating disorders, once I stopped focusing on only the aesthetics and changed my “why” major results happened physically, mentally and professionally. My why at this point in my life is to have strong bones as I age, to have mobility 20 years from now and be independent and not have to have my children or spouse care for me when I am elderly, I focus on how good the workouts make me feel mentally, the endorphins and runners high and , focusing on just doing it for my overall health changed my life from the inside out

I'm a 46 year old mom too and started working out at 40 for all the reasons you mentioned. The one piece of advice I give to anyone wanting to start is to change your mindset to "I am someone who regularly workouts". That was a game changer for me. I can't see myself not being that person now. And if I go several days, for whatever reason, without a workout I crave it.

@@curleq77 same, I love my workouts so much now that I miss them if I can't do them. Even on my rest day I have to restrain myself because I am itching to do a workout. I do the Caroline Girvan app for strength training (plus my own cardio) and I crave those workouts because they make me feel so accomplished. Also, as we go into perimenopause and menopause, this is the best thing we can do for our bodies

Yep. I'm a 46 yr old mum, ED and self loathing history. I don't love everything abt my body now , but I agree it is a mineshift exercise. You are aiming for peace with yourself rather than war on yourself. Focus on yr why, how you feel and long term health. All this wise advice from people above my comment is relayable and 100%correct. I'm learning to respect my body's capabilities and potential. Looks are still important to me but with a greater understanding of strength and stamina and just being...is enough...

I agree completely, working out/fitness is a form of self-care and it’s so important to love yourself and your body for all the things it allows us to be able to do. Even if I’m wanting to make some changes and improve physically, I still appreciate my body during the meantime. Thank you for these tips.

I have even way less than that so I’m glad lol. I only drink if I go to a restaurant and others order a drink. I like regular drinks with my food (soda) lol 😂 So giving up alcohol is easy it’s actually soda that’s been my downfall haha

i honestly loved how realistic this 10 habits video was! The simple fact was that these were thing that YOU did that you saw changes in yourself overtime. You didnt have a huge long reason to back it up with, it was just "along the way i was doing this and i noticed this is how i started feeling..." and you moved on to the next habit. i really liked that!
