Thanks for sharing... I feel like this is one of several videos on KZitem that basically state the same thing over about Port Moresby... There is all this talk about violence, but, none of these videos ever see any of it some how, and no one ever encounters anyone but nice people... I think we gotta just realize that crime in alllll places, whether it's London, or Chicago, or Medellin or anywhere, it's all really regulated in certain area you will probably never be in, and amongst people with genuine disputes or issues or relationships... And not just murdering random people walking down the street for no reason 🤦🏾♂️😅🤷🏾♂️ seems like if you just use common sense, you'll be fine

Common sense is, not walking around outside of the malls, hotel or resort unless you're dressed like a local, smart and always know exactly where you are going.

@@SankofaNYC As A woman who lived and worked there, I can tell you my experience was very different than this guy's. I experienced many dangerous situations. Rape in Port Moresby was experienced by about 70% of woman. AS you can imagine, I had to be very aware and street wise. It's glaringly obvious I am omitting some of the hairy experiences, it is a wild place. Enough of my story, I would like to hear if how you found it. When you were there, how did you find it? Did you encounter any situations that were dangerous?

Every city is the same there are good parts and bad parts tourist areas and ghettos and red light districts. A real city dweller will know that.

No where on earth is heaven unless you are living in an outer space to anticipate a safe living. Like other countries PNG havls the most humble and loving people who have a tradition based on caring and sharing which are the core values that are emvraced by Papua New Guineans. However only a few people who seem to create problems. So do not judge a book by its cover, you will miss the life time opportunity if you are notbwilling to pay a visit in the Paradise land. I am not bias but as a Pnguinean I guarantee you to come over regardless of the lips and hearsay stories being fabricated by few people which is untrue such is not true.🤗👨👩👦🙏

Same as Phil you just have to be smart and aware of your surroundings. Walk around looking like a tourist you're going to draw unwanted attention especially in the wrong parts of town.
