One more thing, if you’re unable to travel, take a different route home from work, change the scenery and don’t be afraid to do things by yourself. Don’t make being solo stop you from doing something different or something you love.

Yes! I wanted to kayak but am limited with life responsibilities to travel and kayak as much as I want. So I bought an inflatable (don't even have the car to transport a plastic one) cheap kayak and went to try it on river 5 mins away. I have been in heaven every weekend in summer for 2 summers! I was scared and very uncomfortable the first time. I can't believe I haven't done it in 10 years I have lived here! And also, there are days on weekends I don't see anyone for 3-4 hours on the river! Ppl have no idea of this slice of heaven in the middle of a very populated suburb of a huge city! Mind blowing. But all the ppl I told what I do said or thought I was crazy.😂

This is so true! You have to REPROGRAM your mind and what “success” looks like to you. We are so conditioned to think success is a reflection of societal status, possessions etc. but that all means nothing if you don’t love what you are doing! Live for God’s will for your life, not man’s.

You are so right, life is a learning experience. I heard such a profound quote the other day, " if you're not happy with your morning cup of coffee, you wont be happy on a yacht", that absolutely blew me away. A second point i'd like to make is this: people don't live by their own intuition and dreams and 'gut feeling', they go with what they think society wants from them. This is the wrong way round, we have to have the courage to live our own truth. Then we will know true happiness. Great vid, as always :)

Love this! Was diagnosed with cancer in 2020 & I beat it. That changed my whole perspective & everything you said in this video is what I’m striving for. Being okay with saying that I don’t know what’s going to happen next & living anyway. Embracing the wonder & the mysteries of life instead of fighting them or stressing myself out trying to figure them out. Just living the best life I can live while hopefully adding value to the lives of those around me while I’m here. Keep bringing the inspiration Tim. It is much needed! Sending you love & light! 💛

Wow, this really spoke to me. I've lived through some pretty awful abuse and the only thing I thought I had going for me is my refusal to lay down and die. I agree with a lot of the sentiments in this video. Moreover, I think we all have the voice in the back of our head encouraging us to do what we think we should do. However, I also think it’s important to ask yourself why you want to do it. More specifically, if your internal dialogue goes something like, “I want to do this thing because everyone will be stoked on me and think I’m super awesome.” you should stop immediately because the harsh reality is that nobody else really cares. Because of our programming, the line between ego and our true desires is blurred and I have a really hard time telling the difference. That’s what I’m currently working on.

Life is like a busy road in the city. Lots of people doing dangerous maneuvers and road raging around town, speeding so they can stop at the same light as the 'slow' person they passed. I always refer back to the favorite childhood story of the tortoise and the hare. The tortoise had a better adventure, and still beat the hare without stressing it.

Everytime you look for a destination and it’s not like what you imagined, you just end up disappointing yourself more often than not. And not only because it may not be what you anticipated but also because life still keeps going on as it always had and always will. You end up disappointed because you didn’t enjoy the journey. So you just keep on going till you figure that out.

It applies to all living things. You attempt to survive. Humans think too much cause of their big noggins and egos....so we need to think too much. We are here to connect. We are all energy and meant to keep going. Clues are tapping into what you should be conscious of. I believe we are here to create and love. Some do so in a negative way and some positive. Most sway more in the middle or back and forth. Namaste.

'a rich life' So I'll rule out the money side of that term......then we have a subjective term. I was chasing keeping up with the Jones, lost everything, so now 'rich' has already had two totally different effects on me. One rich I always previously wanted, is now my enemy, and my new rich in life is a life I would have never previously wanted. From taking things for granted to being very quickly humbled by reality. Things I've changed, no social media apart from YT, I hike, long dog walks, changed my career path and keep things as simple as I possible can. No more chasing.

Tomorrow is not promised at all, so its better to spend your life living and creating experiences rather than living a life of misery. My gosh. When you said the words perfection and fair are human inventions that was so profound because people drive themselves crazy thinking things "aren't fair" all the time. And people striving to be an impossible thing....perfect and feeling terrible because they're not but only human. There's an old saying. " nobody said life would be easy, but it's worth it!". I like how you said also that this is the way life is setup. I spend so much time in agony wishing that some things about life were different instead of embracing all that is about it and change what I can and try to accept and embrace the rest.

Hi TIM, I came across your walk and talk videos about three months ago. My life has been richer because of them. I admire your inspirational and deeply meaningful messages. You are a person of great wisdom and insightful knowledge, despite your simple demeanor and lifestyle. Tim, you are providing an important service to the world and to those who will listen. I am going through a difficult season in my life. I lost my job, my spouse left me, i’ve been lost my house, can I let my health go as I fell into deep depression. I am down dealing with the empty nest syndrome, as my 18-year-old son and only child has just left for college. Watching your videos has helped me get grounded. I am starting to pick up the pieces and take back my life. Thank you for doing what you do TIM. By the way: We often equate ‘ success‘ with ever increasing monetary amounts. To me, a successful person is somebody who truly knows who they are and are contributing there gifts in a positive way to the world. Therefore, in my view you are a very successful person.
