Good to see a beginner ride it and show how accessible the bike is. If you haven't already done so bring the tire pressure down to around 15psi will help traction.

As you progress in skill you'll realize it'll get easier for 3 reasons: Your skill in choosing lines will naturally improve, you'll learn to stand up to let your bike perform better because you won't be squatting all your weight on it (bend the knees), and you'll gain the confidence to speed up which will help overcome many terrain obstacles with momentum. Your bike can handle it, right now it's just the rider that can't. I'm sold though, I will be getting one.

Thanks bro! I can’t wait to get better and show more progress. Endurance is something going to be working on a lot so I can stand while riding. I also order taller bars so I’m not hunched over as far. I think that’ll help me to ride in a more efficient stance versus the stock height. Thanks for the support and thanks for watching!

Been on a lot of single track in my life and that track was hard! Even for the most experienced riders, that would have been difficult on a downhill bike. The single tracks I ride are a bit smoother and have more places to get air, not nearly that rocky or rooty. Some of your trail near the bottom were great too! Looks like you had a lot of fun and had a pretty good work out! I'm in my upper 60's now and miss it as I cannot climb like I use too, so I'm looking for an alternative. This might be the way to go for me.

Thanks for watching man! It definitely was difficult but very fun. I can’t wait to show everyone the next trail I ride. And if you’re looking for something that’ll get you up and you can just bomb downhill, these things are the absolute best! Light enough to flick around on the decent and powerful enough to climb. You’ll love it!

Key thing is to practice body-bike separation. Get your bum off the seat going over any obstacle (large or small) Keep your elbows slightly bent and hinge your hips. Try not to let your body come forward to much. Keep the hips over the center/rear of the bike.

Good choice! I’d say for the money, brand new, the Talaria sting r (MX4) is the best. If you can find a used MX3 (the one I have) for $3,500 or so then I’d probably go that direction and spend that money on upgrades. Both are dope but brand new the MX4 has some very nice upgrades. I noticed that several of the more technical down and up hills gave you trouble. Do you think this is more of a limitation of your skill or the bike? I ride downhill mountain bike and Moto. I love my mountain bike for downhill but I love my Moto for uphill. I'm wondering if this bike can do both well and that's what interests me about this type of bike. Thanks

Is the rider for sure you could tell he was sitting down for the most part I only sit down when I’m getting tired, but 85% of the ride I’m standing up it just allows your bike to perform way better and it gives you more reach because of your legs
@haveagoodoneyt
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching man! It’s definitely my skill that’s the issue. I’m a beginner on single track and my endurance can use a ton of work. I am changing the bars and adding a riser because I did feel I was hunched over too much on this ride. I’m 6’1”. Other than that it climbs well (at slower speeds) and descends very well. I need to edit some more videos of me and my friends bombing down mountain passes because man this thing rocks for that. Plus when I wanted to get another run I’d just ride back up and descend again. It’s just so much fun!
@haveagoodoneyt
Жыл бұрын
Yea absolutely. I really need to work on my endurance so I can stay standing while riding. I also ordered a 3” rider bar and riser direct mount stem to help. I was hunched over really bad while riding and I felt like I couldn’t move very freely. That being said I will probably always be the the limiting factor for this bike. They just have so much performance. Again, thank you for watching! 🤙🏻

It's not an e-bike. It's an e-moto. Huge difference and it's not just semantics. Laws. Pedalecs are ebikes. Must have pedals, (must not go over 25 Class II) mph or it must be registered and insured by law in most states. E motos are awesome but too pricey. A new crf 125 is $3500 a 250 is 6k. by FAR better motos for much less. But e-moto still cool machines. 👍

Have you ever done any mt. biking?! I noticed that you have a tendency to slow down to handle trail obstacles... From years of Mt. Biking it becomes second nature to pick your line choice earlier, before you have to slow down and lose the momentum and balance by having to get to a snails crawl as you approach the obstacle. You'll get more and more comfortable picking the better lines the more you experience it. HONESTLY, You rode your first single track and didn't fall or hit a tree... SUCCESS!!! WIN!!! SUGGESTION: Flat land balance exercise... Get a water bottle (like a standard cycling water bottle). Fill it w water... Ride your bike with one hand while holding the bottle in the other... Ride slow enough to SET the bottle down standing it up right... then ride away... come by at the same slow speed and pick up that bottle again... switch hands and set the bottle down on the opposite side of the bike... REPEAT til you got it down 10 times ROCK SOLID.. then, take half the water out and do it all again cause with half the water, it's half the weight.. so it gets harder and harder the less water in the bottle. SIDENOTE: Momentum can be your friend. Fear of falling is your enemy. Good Video too.. Decent sound, good Voice over level (tho a bit of music under it now and again would be a nice touch), great angle of your camera, beautiful trail.

What other bikes did you consider when deciding on this one? Any thoughts on Artic Leopard, Stark Varg, Drill, etc.? Would you buy a Talaria or newer version again or check out another brand?
@haveagoodoneyt
2 жыл бұрын
When I was looking to buy I considered the Talaria, Surron x, Segway X260, Cake Kalk, Drill One, Super73, Onyx, and Electric Motion. I picked the Talaria because of cost mixed with small advantages over the Surron. Knowing that it was made by a faction that left Surron I knew I could trust the reliability from Talaria. The Drill One, Cake Kalk, and Electric Motion Escape R were my dream bikes but they were out of my price range. And the KTM free ride/ Stark Varg/ Surron Storm Bee/ Alta are all too large for my needs. On the opposite spectrum bikes like the Onyx or Super73 are not off-road focused enough. If the parameters were the same again, ie budget, purpose, timing, then yes I’d absolutely buy the Talaria again over everything else. It has blown me away with how much fun it is.
