we bought a used Duster in2014 only had 6000 miles on the clock it was a diesel we used it for towing a small caravan and as a cheap around, it was a fairly ok little car we had it for about 15 months , the reason it was so cheap is evident when thing that you take for granted on more expensive cars start to fail, it not a sturdy car it wobbles when you hit a pot hole it was so bad that the windscreen actually cracked and needed replaced ( twice) we were told by the guy who replaced both screens that these are common replacements on the car because their structural rigidity is weak, it eats front tyres because the tracking can never be accurate so they wear prematurely we had it tracked by many garages and none of them could sort it out, the interior plastics fit and finish and basic quality is only average, we eventually got rid of because the DPF kept throwing and engine management light on the dash and the DPF required replacement i believe the car had done around 19k miles when we eventually sold it and we lost a lot of money from the retail price because they do not hold their value, we bought an older Honda CRV with 36,000 miles and we still had that up to 2021, it was a far better car in every aspect, Dacia are cheap because they are build to a tempting price that is the reality.

I would mention though I have managed to flat fold the rear seat if I pull up the base of the rear seat first and then take the headrests off the rear seats and then it folds flat for me. Might be different on your 19 plate version but worth a look perhaps. I'm also already overvalue on the PCP, the car is now worth more than what I have outstanding on finance...just nuts really. After buying a 6 year old Logan with 12000 (!) miles, I put it up to 30,000 in 6 months then bought a new 2023 poverty spec Duster with Grey Paint for 16.5K . Still got air con, cruise control and electric front windows - the rest I don't care about even though I did get 6 Speeds and DAB radio. Has the 1.0 3 cylinder petrol like the Logan - very nice engine and pulls well and will sit at 70mph at 2,300 rpm so not even noisy. Steel wheels because alloys are just so last year.......

I have a Dacia Duster 1.3 ltr auto prestige model and it's coming up to 18 mths old. The only problem I've have is the sat nav points in all diff directions than the way it should show, upwards, it freezes occasionally which affects the radio. It's booked in for a check so hopefully that will be resolved soon. Other than that i'm more than happy with the car it's cost 22,000 when new but worth it.

They're relatively inexpensive for good reason. Have a look at the panel mismatch, especially from the front, wing-bonnet-grille gaps vary side to side by up to 1/4 inch.

I think a Duster could be my next car. I don't like SUVs, but headlamp legislation today is inadequate, and I need more eye height to be above the worst of the dazzle. I have found UVEX make very good yellow tinted safety glasses that really improve twilight and night vision with oncoming lights. You are completely correct that touchscreens are dangerous. They take more driver attention than is needed with buttons. I think the diesel is the way to go. It is Renault/Nissan/Mercedes, and I was impressed how quiet they are in the street. Great video ! Thanks.

We use to call them Dusty Bins, old poverty spec ones didn't have any solar reflective glass so it fell like you were being cooked in the sun while driving. Not bad really for being mostly a Renault parts bin, they can take some abuse fairly well, at least the older ones could.

I scrapped my 1995 Skoda Felicia Bohemia Estate that I had driven for 22 years. Only 40k on the clock, but a mistake in a garage stripped the threads on all 4 wheel hubs, and replacements were impossible to find. I had been looking for a Dacia, and found a 2019 Logan 2 for £9.5K with 44k on the clock at the local Dacia dealership. The next time I saw it online, it had dropped to £8.5k, so I decided to reserve it for £99 via their website. I went for a look and was most impressed, apart from a few tiny scratches, and tyres and wheels that had obviously been in use far longer than the 3 years the car has existed and were almost illegal. The dealer offered 5 new wheels and tyres, a new boot liner, boot cover and full tool kit. We shook on it after a test drive, and I made the transfer online. A pleasant surprise for me, it had dropped to £7.5k (less the £99 reserve deposit). The dealer was not so impressed, as Dacia HQ had dropped the price without him realising! It took a few days to get ready for sale (safety checks, full valet including scratch repairs, full service, and 25 litres of petrol). So I taxed and insured it online from 1st January and collected it the next day. The 989cc turbocharged engine has plenty of poke that pushes me back in the seat, the ride is slightly lumpy on our potholed roads but the power steering makes manoeuvring a doddle. The space inside is immense compared with my last car, although I doubt I'll ever have to drop the rear seats. Our local speed limits dropped from 30/40/70 to 20/30/50, so I reckon it's got the power to cope with all that dawdling about. I wonder if I'll get this one to 27 years old? NB next to the seatbelt clip dangling from the interior roof is a circular piece of plastic with a groove in it. You put the end of the clip into it. It has a magnet that will hold the clip up.

Dimensions were extremely useful to know! Couldn't find good info about it anywhere else, thanks a lot! I"m interested in the 2023 model, but am definitely waiting to see what they will do with the completely new Duster in 2024. The new Bigster releasing in 2025 looks absolutely badass like nothing else before, though that's still 2 years off and will probably be quite a bit more expensive...

bought a 71 plate Duster 2 months ago and its fine!. its a 1.0 ltre 2 wheel drive petrol/gas version . I wanted this as in case of future fiel shortages. It gives me 2 options. With current prices mine returns 64 mpg on gas and about 44mpg on petrol accordring to the trip computer ..it rides well and i hope it will see me out , i am 61 and uncertain on the future of motoring in this country . Mine is the middle spec ,{comfort?}. it has ascreen which you plug your phone into for a sat nav and its an excellent system . It has enough fearures for me . i do not need so much tech i need a degree in being a geek to operate the radio!. It had 425 miles on it and i paid £15450 which compared to anything else is a bargain!. I hope!!

Hi i like your choice of cars and your way of thinking. I'm running a 1.6 petrol mk1 Berlingo in mint condition for now. I'd definitely own Dacia as a brand but I'm aiming for a small car and small van ownership when what i want is available. I want my next purchases to be EV's as i love how they drive so its just a waiting game. The small cheap ev i plan to order is out later this year. Dacia have the Spring ev model but its not available in the UK.
