So cool to see how each generation of martial artists continues to be inspired by Bruce Lee. I started martial arts in the early 1990s inspired by him. I remember reading a book in the 1990s that had some of his workouts. They were nuts! He would do 1,000 kicks on each leg and 2,000 punches with each arm on certain training days. When he ran, he used variable speed: sprinting one block and jogging the next. You did a great job in your workout and honoring him with this video. One thing to also note is that his workouts were even more bonkers when you realize he only weighed 140 lbs at his heaviest. 🙏🥋

Yeah that is crazy, the amount of power he had in a relatively small frame! Will definitely continue to inspire future generations as well

@zachparade2791

@Ferdinand I read several books about him back then, so it is hard for me to be sure where I got each bit of information. However, two books I know I read and were likely the source are 1) “Jeet Kune Do: Bruce Lee’s Commentaries on the Martial Way” by edited by John Little and published by Tuttle Publishing. 2) “Bruce Lee Fighting Spirit “ by Bruce Thomas and published by North Atlantic Books. I remember really enjoying them when I read them as a teen. And it looks like you can get a copy of each for around $5. Good luck in your martial arts journey and research into the great Bruce Lee! 🍀🙏

One of Bruce Lee`s earlier workouts.😎😎 He later changed to a 3 day Full Body Workout : Clean & Press, Bench Press,Barbell Row,Squats,Good Morning, Barbell Curls (2x8 on all exercises and 2x12 on squats.) Then I do belive he changed again in the latest stages in his life with circle training on his machine home gym, where he did 12 reps per exercises and moved to the next for multiple rounds.He also experimented with isometrics and electric stimuli.Add that with jogging, bicycling and martial arts training 6 times per week,he was a machine.💪💪😎😎

Hmm, if I recall correctly, then I've learned somewhere that for the daily morning run, BL usually ran about 7-8km in total, and on his last 100m, he'd sprint for the finish. As for the "INF." on BL's workout note, I think it's short for "Infinite", which I take as "To failure" 😂 And about his "practice 1 kick 10,000 times" quote, it's all about patience and consistency over a long period of time, until a practiced move becomes technically flawless and its execution effortless, and it becomes your signature move, so powerful that even if an opponent knows how it works, it'd still be hard for them to neutralise the attack. That's what I see in Boxing, you only have all those basic punches and you practice them for life till your punches easily mess people up.
