So, for why some of the sauces that picked up carbonation got more flavorful, air is part of the reason we taste things like we do. Carbonating the sauce allows for air to reach the tongue far easier, giving a far more flavourful taste to certain sauces. In the same way that taking smaller bites, which allows for more air to enter the mouth, also makes food taste stronger. Just thought this was neat.

There is a difference between fluid ounces and dry ounces. Fluid ounces is a measurement of volume of liquid, dry ounces is a measurement of weight (16 ounces to 1 pound as an example), so different things could take up different volumes depending on how they were measured in the first place, and don't forget companies will try to sell their product to make it sound like the better deal, so if dry ounces sound like a better deal than the fluid ounces they will print the dry ounces on the package.

Sep 15, 2022Chick-Fil-A's signature sauce is a mayonnaise-based recipe that is slightly tangy and sweet. For years, the fast-food chain has used Duke's brand mayonnaise in their dishes, and it has become a fan favorite. In 2020, Chick-Fil-A decided to launch its own sauce line, which is now available in bottles of different sizes.
