Finally someone who put great importance on ease of exhale. I been truggeling with Dreamwear nasal pillows due to hard to exhale and feeling of breathing through a straw. Went full face F20 to fix this but that led to other issues with leaks, big heavy and warm mask, tiny hairs on my skin moving and tickling in the wind waking me up etc. Only recently did i get the info that other nasal masks may be easier to breathe with. Already P10 feels so much more effortless and N20 is good too. Will look into Brevida as many praise it. This test helped me to even more look into the N30 and Bredivda. Thank you!

Great video. I'm looking for a different mask going from the full face Resmed F20 to a nasal minimal headgear mask and Tristan you did a great job with all the comparisons.

Great job Tristan! Ironically the Evora is my top mask in terms of performance and comfort - if the diffuser was better and the bulkiness - it'd be ideal. Interesting how subjective masks are!

Agree...cleaning the diffuser helps ,but vinager is needed (taking apart is a snap ) ...going to try pillows next month.

Thanks so much. I listened with great interest bc I’m researching options to the Brevida. And I understand how all opinions are subjective due to face shapes and other variables.

One of my issues with masks like the P10 0:02 and the Brevida, is that the head gear doesn’t stay on my head very well. I have fine, silky hair and not much of an occipital bump, so the straps slide of the top of my head. When I wore my hair short, like a pixie, it wasn’t as much of an issue. But now that it is shoulder length, it is a real problem.

Same! I have typical Eastern European head shape - zero bump in the back. So the strap keeps sliding up and off my head - need to fix it about 5 times through the night. Wish it was better. Also, doesn’t the hose bother you when it’s in front of you? Overall 10 stars out of 5 to Tristan for the detailed yet pithy and personable videos!❤

I had the same thing happen. Try 2 small hair clips or bobby pins, they will hold the strap in place

People struggling with exhalation? The back pressure from the CPAP machine is a key factor here. I have a Lowenstein Prisma 20A with a F&P Solo mask ... couldn't be happier ... very comfortable and effective with good variety of machine pressure algorithms.

Great video. I have Central Sleep Apnea and use the Resmed Quattro Air Full Face Mask, as I have allergies. I recently bought a Knightsbridge Double Chin Strap to try to reduce mouth leak, as my tooth enamel was getting damaged. It seems to be working, so I'm considering maybe switching to a nasal mask for comfort. The problem: The Resmed F30 didn't work at all for me because the nostril holes pushed into the base of my nose and collapsed and it was hurting the base of my nose, and I was getting no air. Are the P10's nostril pillows more prominent? Do they stick into your nose? I have a large pointy nose, but my nostrils aren't that wide. Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Hello all. I get new climate-line hoses, water chamber, elbow connectors and head gear frame for my Airsense 11 every few months via my insurance. Curious, do I just throw the old ones out? What do you guys do with your old stuff?

It's too bad that none of the reviews out there review the durability of a mask. I have always found it interesting that resmed is pushing for replacement every 3months for the nose silicone and 6months for the mask. Sounds like either their mask isn't good quality or they are abusing the replacement of mask for better profit. Other brands have better durability...

Some people can wear masks for like a year or more, no matter the mask mine last about 6 weeks. Headgear about 3 months. It needs to fit properly and you wear it daily. Silicone wears out and stretches. It's not molded plastic. What mask do you have that lasts years?!

Oh my god. The exhale! Yes. You can’t exhale with the nasal pillows at all and the nasal cushions that go under the nose with the little hole cut out. I can’t exhale either. No one’s ever address. This drives me crazy.

I switched from full mask to nasal before and my AHI dropped considerably. Full mask makes on perspire or gives feeling of claustrophobia. How is the 40 compare on this issue? Seems like a nice mask and may try it. Also, it seems that this mask with magnets was engineered better for those with Cochlear implants because the magnets were placed on front of the mask making magnets 9”+ away from implant! Hopefully the magnet strength was not increased compared to nasal magnets. Normally doctors recommend 6” or less for implant users.

Post below says, "The fine mesh exhaust of the P10 blocks..." that sounds dangerous.
@thecpapstore

For most users this is not an issue as the diffuser still allows air to pass. The mesh is just finer than the holes of the Nova Micro, which allows an easier exhale. If the user has COPD, I would turn them into the direction of the Micro, Evora or Brevida (with diffuser taken off) for this reason. But for most people, this is a non issue and the better diffused air in the P10 allows for less noise, less dry eyes, less wakeups and better partner comfort.

I think resmed has changed the diffuser design. Never had an issue with it previously, but last two masks I have struggled with breathing out and it clogging despite cleaning regularly. Have just purchased the micro so here's hoping it will be a better option.

As with any review, this is very subjective and you should include not only the costs of replacement cushions, but the replacement recommendation schedule! I disagree with almost every thing mentioned about the Fisher & Paykel Brevida. I've been using this mask since January 7th and this past weekend I finally changed to my second cushion. It fits me nicely, I can sleep on my side with the mask pulling off, the pillows don't half way up the nostrils, I don't have to have the straps tight to keep the cushion in place. I am a back and side sleeper. Since switching to the Fisher & Paykel Brevida I've only had 6 registered leaks events. (According to Resmed software) Cleaning is beyond easy if you follow the recommended cleaning procedures. Lets talk about that..Fisher & Paykel recommends to soak the mask and its parts for 10 minutes. Every day, I soak the mask (I soak the headgear separately once a week) in the bathroom sink while I take my shower. When I get out of the shower, I rinse the parts, through it into my Hurricane dryer. Couldn't be any simpler! I've used the Resmed P10, Bleep Eclipse, Fisher & Paykel Evora and Fisher & Paykel Brevida. For me..The Bleep Eclipse is the best, but the cushions (halos) replacements are jut too expensive at $36 for a month supply. So the Fisher & Paykel Brevida is my go to mask now. With Fisher & Paykel Brevida I got 7 months on 1 pillow cushion! Replacement cushion was only $25. Can't beat $25 every 6-7 months!!!

The Resmed stretchy strap that you like? Those stretch out over time and the clip that they add does not do a good job of holding the strap, they constantly slip and loosen.
