For a $80-$100 ramen dish, this looks like the best "fancy food" I've ever seen (ever)! The concept of not only combining two famous food items together (ex: ramen and wagyu meat), but then adding different flavored salts or items to increase the experience for the individual? Amazing! And generally I think the adding of items (as said) allows people to have more fun and be smartly frugal as not everyone has that ability. Very cool and tons of respect to Akasaka Matsutora for creating such a rad idea

I really want to go to japan but I have ARFID which basically means I cant eat many things. Meat, bread, and cheese is about all I can do. But I can do ramen I think. I mean the crappy maruchan stuff I can eat so I assume my body would let me eat real ramen and beef would be no problem but you add in the truffle stuff and its over. But I really want to try wagyu. I want to try so many food but physically I can't and it sucks. Whats surprising about this eating disorder is you'd expect someone who doesn't eat anything but basically cheeseburgers plain (this is dumbed down) to be overweight or unhealthy but nope. 6'1" 190ish lbs and 31 years old. I dont get it. When I was a teen I thought I'd be very overweight because of my diet but it hasn't happened yet.

Yeah, I'm lucky to live in a city that has quite a few ramen restaurants, but most are around that price point unless you're going for something super basic and/or happen to luck out and find something in the $10-12 range. As part of a household who loves ramen, these both looked delicious. The dashi ramen seemed like it was light, yet hearty and a nice pick me up on a chilly day, while the wagyu was mind blowing in its presentation alone. This was truly a delightful experience!

I will definitely have to visit there myself in 4 years when hopefully Japan has reopened and I have my college degree to start teaching. You've got me craving that good melty beef so bad. I was too afraid to try any Wagyu last time I visited because I was vegetarian. (I had one meat bun and it sent me straight to the toilet a few hours later 😅) New goal- lose 50 pounds by the time I get my degree, and develop healthy habits that will maintain it so it's more than just "get skinny". I'm not about raw meat, but I think the issue with most raw meat dishes is that they're served cold, so the fat is really slimy. I don't see how the warmed slices of beef in the ramen are any different than the rare center of a properly-cooked steak. If it gets up to about 140 degrees Freedom (65 degrees science) it really is no different.
