Most of my time has been surviving, I usually get killed randomly when I turn a corner not expecting anyone to be there at point blank range, and I scramble to find the right buttons to get my gun out and by that time I’ve been shot dead lol.

Not everyone’s bad in this game and that’s why I like it. Most people will shoot on sight without thought, but the few who don’t are the people I appreciate most. One time I was walking down a road and a fully kitted guy just started talking to me. Asking how my day was, if I need anything from him, stuff like that. Even though I told him I didn’t need anything, he still ended up giving me a revolver(I was a fresh spawn). David reminds me of him. People can be amazing. Remember that Sour. I love your content. Stay Sweet.

My theory is that the stash belonged to David who collected it over his 1000 hours however grew tired of killing people and decided to just put away everything he had. This way he would be carefree of any need to desperately survive and at the same time limit the killing of players by others since he had the weapons. I believe that is why he was so far inland in just spawn clothes, trying to live life slowly and find a sense of happiness in the lonely world of DayZ. I know it seems far fetched but putting together David's calm demeanour and willingness to leave the game just like that I feel like it may be true and more so I want it to be.

@@hydro1096 yea mate the Dayz population isn’t how it use to be nine years ago where people actually talked and helped each other and didn’t know every single trick or when a large portion of the player base didn’t how to navigate everywhere. If your playing these days you have to play extremely defensive or aggressive and always be on alert shooting on sight or running away when seeing players because they’ll 9/10 times do the same to you unless it’s a new player or freshie(which can be worse in some circumstances), not to mention how many groups run around in this game nowadays and all the sweats that also play the game. Official is also not that great it’s been updated a lot recently so it’s not as bad as it used to be but it’s still not great I recommend finding a good community server because official takes to much time for very little in terms of rewards.

I'm considering giving modded a go but I just love the realism of vanilla too much ❤️ Nice video Sour, you really brought out feelings and anticipations you get when playing and delivered it to the viewer perfectly. Great job man 👏🏽

I cannot suggest modded enough. Some mods will def take away the realism, but some don't do much but add different weapons, or different clothing, even different food. Test around in different community servers. They add so much more to the game.

I don't why, perhaps the combination of editing and music, but around the 20:00 when you meet that "friend" it made me so happy, both of you had the same opinions has to how to play and approach other players, such a nice talk you had. I hoped you played together for the rest of the video. Great gameplay.

thats because of bases like the one at the end. some no lifers scrooging up all the loot, so only things that spawn are shit weapons. Thats the thing that killed the game mainstream besides the 8 year alpha state.

@@un1d It HAS been killed mainstream since the group of people playing this game is tiny vs real mainstream games. I know the times when Dayz was THE game that was played, was streamed and it wasn't even done yet, but like I said it was like 8 years ago. Is that superbad for the game, probably not but it took too long to keep a lot of gamers that did enjoy the game even then to keep playing the game. If the limits are lifted, thats a good thing, didn't know that but again, too little too late for a lot. The game is in a pretty decent state right now but I won't get to her former glory days.

I love the official vanilla servers, if they would make the nights a teeny tiny bit brighter and made it so your character remembers your own 4digit code lock without having to fiddle for 3 minutes each time you open your base then i would never leave the vanilla servers. I absolutely love the scarcity of stuff. The amount of firefights + loot you found is more than I'd find in a week or two. I see combat so rarely I seek it out nowadays and open bases like that you can forget about. Haven't seen a base like that since early base building dayz and that one was at the end of the map enclosed in walls. Bravo.

With all the things they've added to DayZ SA I am still amazed there is no mechanic in game or modded in to track people. Like when you walk through the woods or thick grassy areas or bushes you leave a very faint trail or grass pressed down, I remember thinking that back in DayZ Mod when the grass would push down everywhere you ran but it was only a client side thing but I always wanted something so you could hunt other players if they weren't smart and covered their tracks. They kind of have it in Tarkov now where if you get a heavy bleed you will actually bleed a thick trail into the world for other players to see, but people rarely let a heavy bleed go because they take you out so dang fast.

It's rare but I think people's kindness is what makes this game work. Some people show mercy, they realise they're not a threat, approach them and start a friendship. Obviously there are knobs about who will just kill on site without any regard to the threat level, but that kinda adds to the paranoia factor. You just don't know if someone is going to stab you in the back. Quite an interesting dynamic. But the friendly approach is what keeps me coming back to this channel.

I Remember the console days when me and a group of friends played dayz, the experiences were always unreal cause vanilla and clunky controls is what we had haha, the nights were always spooky not being able to see and the occasional gunshots in the distance and few glowsticks in the distance. Rainy dark nights were always the scariest haha. We have all since switched to pc and dont really play vanilla dayz anymore, but definitely miss the gear fear and the adrenaline rush you only got when fighting on vanilla dayz. This video was a good refresher.👍

Great video man! It's funny when you look back at your first couple of months playing dayz, everything was so sketchy and complicated. Every town and city was a nightmare. After playing for years and you learn all the little tips to make life easier, you also start memorizing patterns (locations of loot spawning in certain areas, player spawns, low geared players, high geared players) the most helpful being the infected spawns/wander radius. I have 4 kills and 1 death in my dayz "official" career, wasn't very happy about it but it was a grenade. And I was able to play the game for years and have only seen under 10 people face to face. Probably another 10 at a distance shootout. Most of the time if I had seen another player, I would watch and wait, then go the other way. I don't care about his bk133 but I'm sure he cares about my SVAL so I just walk away from fights if I can, and let other people try to gear up! You have to assume 90% of players are dangerous, but when you rarely ever see them, it's a heart racing experience when you finally do.

I'm curious as to how you can enjoy this mp game for so long with minimal interactions with other players? Serious question because I've picked up and put this game down so many times due to boredom.
@joelwarren7457
Жыл бұрын
@@harrylewin3180 a few reasons why: Only have chernarus/Livonia so chernarus is more fun on official. If I had pc I'd try other maps. I have played chernarus for years, and I still find things I've never seen before, so it keeps me at least engaged in exploring. I don't have any other decent open world games, other than days gone, and ghost of tsushima. But I've beat those so now I'm back into dayZ. Last and most importantly, I play solo 99.9% or the time. I like the vibe of official servers, far off gunshots, and adrenaline filled moments in the gas zone or helicopter crashes. This has kept it interesting for me, but just like you I drop and pick it up every now and then. My best advice and what I've done is, on my first dayz experience I lived by Olsha, next was the southeast island, then I tried the nwaf, tisy, krona, tri Krista area. My last experience I was close to zelenogorsk and gas zone, probably the best choice if you're looking to get insanely geared in a couple of days. But currently my new official stash is just outside of cherno, because I don't need to explore tisy or nwaf anymore, I've seen all the castles. So far I really enjoy being close to the south shore. It's highly populated so it keeps things interesting, but I got killed twice in the dark in my first week of living there 😄 I hope you enjoy, looking forward to any dayz successor for sure. But for now I don't mind chilling in cherno, and when you get bored of dayz, try the community pvp servers (DAYZ of DUTY) practice pvp skills. My buddy and I are talking about trying namalsk for the winter, after watching the gameplay of the map, I'm excited to test my dayz survival skills in the winter terrain.
