wondering if...after you maintained this for a month or two, if you did it again for a few days, maybe with adding something extra here and there...then lost a few more pounds...if that would work? i have heard the one in which you ad veggies, then fruits , etc on diff days does not work as well.. but maybe if you had it in a diff combo or moderation.....??? just wondering. Tip: add shredded chicken breast or shrimp or salmon to your soup and eat veggies and fruit along with your soup and you still use weight while feeling satiated and have energy. No need to suffer for the sake of losing lbs, right? #girlpower

This soup diet has been around for at least 50 years. I have used it many times for a quick weight loss. It always works but I always take vitamins with the diet. B vitamins give you lots of energy. You can also have other vegetables with this soup like a salad with a lemon dressing sprinkled on top. Do not eat corn, peas, potatoes or other vegetables with starch in them. Good luck on your weight loss journey.

That’s false, everyone is so afraid of potatoes. I lost 30 lbs in 2 weeks mainly eating potatoes. Potatoes in this soup will do nothing except good. Make you full, add a dash of protein, etc

okay, so the cabbage soup diet has been around for around 4 decades - it is not a 'cleanse' or a new thing. It was designed for patients who needed to lose weight quickly before surgery.

I did that diet a few years ago and I had a small piece of steak with it every day. I lost 10 pounds and didn't have any bad side effects. I think you need protien with it.

I did this diet for 2 weeks at the beginning of my weight loss journey and i dropped 32 pounds, i drank plenty of water and exercised as well. I ate when i was hungry stopped when i was full and got use to the diet after 4 days. I was monitored by my doctors for safety reasons and everything was fine i highly suggest the diet but if you arent trying to lose over 200 pounds all together i wouldnt recommend more than a week

The weight you lose in the first 3 or 4 days of such a diet is mostly water, which usually returns, in due course. The psychological aspects of this short experiment are interesting. Initial enthusiasm fell away sharply as the perception of "energy loss" was felt. In reality this is just the body's emergency brakes! You're going cold turkey on carbs, you're in withdrawal mode. Carbs equal sugar, and it's a drug. The craving you feel as your body adjusts takes quite a few days to settle. Your body is used to the peaks and troughs of blood sugar levels of a typical Western diet, particularly one high in carbs. This soup diet relies on converting first glycogen, later fat, to energy, smoothing out the undulations, rather than refuelling yourself every hour or so with high glycaemic carb snacks. It takes a while for the body to establish a new pattern of energy production, more than 3 or 4 days to undo the habits of years of indulgence. But it can be done. Anyway, well done and next time, be aware that the cravings do lessen after a few days and your energy levels would come back as you continue to let your body adjust. This is even true of a water fast. Headaches can be due to dehydration. caffeine withdrawal, or metabolic by products, or a combo of these. Accept you'll need extra rest and sleep if you begin a serious fast, while your body deals with the extra work it is doing at a cellular level. Of course, desist from any diet if you feel truly unwell, as distinct from the expected passing feelings of lethargy, cravings and feeling a bit yukky. Always keep your fluid intake up, and don't beat yourself up. Life isn't a pass/fail exam. You tried and you learnt stuff. Go again with added knowledge and wisdom. ;)

i always sauté my soup veggies too!! if you do this but replace the cabbage with cauliflower and blend it with immersion blender at the end it’s to die for☺️ a creamy healthy cauliflower soup. but i love it both ways, i blended and chunky with cabbage, or blended and smooth and thick with cauliflower! but allwaaays saute ym veg

My husband and I started this today. We are doing eggs and meat for breakfast with one price of wheat toast. Then soup for the rest of the day. I am expecting the sugar flu. Once we are over sugar withdrawals it will be easier. I plan to do this till I am down 80 pounds this and an elliptical. I plan for 6-8 months . My husband wants to lose 30 pounds.

Lose the bread=carbs=sugar The sugar will fight back with the soup and make you feel terrible. Instead of a piece of wheat toast, which has margarine on it (both bad) have some sauteed vegetables in olive oil (you know, the ones you like, switch em up). Remember, you going to be changing mechanism in your body to lose weight, a drastic change. Why also go through a sugar withdrawls, now you have compounded the problem to be sucessful.

I made the soup just to have a low calorie , high veggie meal. It’s filling. I do have other balanced meals and meal replacement shakes. Calorie counting works for me. Definitely a great soup.

it is not about calories. it is about high fiber and low carbs. this together synergistically brings down the blood sugar level and insulin long term. and when insulin is low, then fat liberation happens which results in fat burning. high fiber with low carbs is the metabolic switch that switches from burning blood sugar to burning fat and your hunger is low.

Good morning, I just watched your video. This is my first time watching your videos.. I’m gonna do this soon, but I think I’ll add some shrimp or some kinda protein to it, as well as do intermittent fasting… I enjoyed your honesty lol. Use a tablespoon of Better than Bouillon to kick up the broth some. Trader Joe's 21 Seasoning Salute works well too. As a cheat on day four, cut up a link of Kielbasa sausage when you sauté. I lost 13 lbs. over two weeks and did not feel deprived at all.

I just started this diet just cabbage soup and water nothing else I do feel a bit tired and a bit hungry but I am exercising as well also I’m anemic so that could be the reason I’m tired but I like the soup I’m surprised that it’s so good I didn’t expect to like it I thought I would hate it but it’s good I did leave out the onions and celery because I hate both but so far so good I’m on day 2 so I’m going to stick with it till the end and I’m excited to see the results if any if nothing else at least I know it’s healthy for me so I won’t be disappointed I eat normally high protein low carb diet anyway so my body may be going through withdrawal from all the protein I usually eat but I’m gonna see if through to the end and go back on my protein shake that’s really the only thing I miss

Calories from fat is misleading. You aren't a calorimeter, a device which actually burns food to measure the potential heat content (calories). It's very unlikely you would digest and convert all of the fat to calories, however the carbs are metabolized almost instantly. Also, not all fat is created equal.

This soup is basically Keto except for the carrots. You get something called the Keto flu with Keto and feel about 80 years old for a couple of days. Sounds like what you had. Good job on your weight loss!

Just go for a walk for 20min in morning only not afternoon or evening but first thing in the morning, then have breakfast and keep doing that and thats it, the weight will come off. Diets arent for everyone like me I eat and havent changed since I started to walk every morning

There are afew things you must change while in the cabbage soup diet: 1) Don't use vegetable oil, not good for the arteries, use extra virgin olive oil or avocado oil...try not to buy the everyday cheap cheap brand. 2) Diet Ginger Ale, you would of lost more, but your addicted to sugar; diet soda has been proven to be terrible for your body. 3) Hence the kiwi juice (sugar) with flax seed, wasting the flax seeds. 4) Lose the above bad habits first...good luck

How much soup did you eat per day? It sounded like you only had two servings per day. You are actually allowed to eat as much soup as you want. I think you got so tried because you simply weren’t eating enough soup. Though you did an excellent job showing us the recipe and how to make out. Some videos don’t even give the recipe.

2-3 lbs are water weight. it is coming back after eating carbs because the body fills up the glycogen stores with the carbs and water. one downside is the missing protein that leaches out protein from your body. that is another pound. the rest is lost body fat. to optimize it, i would add ground beef and supplement hydrolized collagen. this makes sure you don't loose too much lean mass. also with added ground beef you can do this for 10 days without the lack of any nutrient. i would roast the onions and garlic a bit in olive oil and cut the carrots in bigger pieces to have more concentrated flavor in it. same can be done with the garlic. the tiredness was the "keto flu". it happend when your body is not adapted to burn fat. you need more salt in this case.

Hello! The juice consists of pineapple, ginger, lemon, cucumber and water. It is a common weight loss / healthy juice. I drink this on a regular basis. I do plan on making a video on it but there or several videos on it if you look up weight loss pineapple drink :)

I eat healthy on a normal basis, I think it was more lack of protein since I'm normally on a high protein meal plan. I think it's hard for anyone's body to adjust to strictly water and vegetables for that many days :) My body handled cleanses better when I was younger as well 😂🥲

It seemed pretty bland. You could add some Andouille sausage, Cajun spices and Texas Pete's hot sauce. Or sweet Italian sausage, oregano, lots of onions and garlic, fresh basil on top. Black bean sauce and chicken or shrimp. Sear up some cubed beef or pork in the skillet and then into the pressure cooker for 10 minutes, throw that in juice and all...or lots of butter and lobster... No need to eat boring food. Energy? Drink some black coffee.

I personally called it a cleanse because I consider any type of juice / food diet that cleanses sugar and toxins out of the body a cleanse. I was also juicing each morning- specifically a cleansing juice. But I am no doctor 🤪 so these terms are just from my research and experience 🙂

I just had coffee and water for breakfast. I have been losing weight for a couple years now and I do intermittent fasting. So I typically don't eat breakfast (never been a breakfast eater). This is a very difficult cleanse and I'm going to be uploading one soon that allows you to eat breakfast food, stay tuned!
