Partner and I just came back from 7 night liberty of the seas Caribbean cruise. Cost was $123 per person per day. This got included: 3 excursions each, souvenirs, prepaid gratuities, extra tips, 2 internet days, and 1 rum cake! We stayed interior at the butt of the boat and it was alright just a slight motor hum. Had a friend drop us off at the galveston port and keep our car so no parking fees! I booked in 2021. Called monthly for discounts. Worth every minute!

The random tablemates were always a highlight of my wife and my cruises. We met up with some who lived close after cruises as well. I like a 6-8 top so there were like 3 to 4 couples and you chatted with them every evening about what excursion they did that day or were doing the next. Lots of fun! Go to shows with them after dinner, or have drinks. It is nice having ship friends.

@ModernMyths
2 жыл бұрын
@@blonby1970 Yeah. I can help you. I'm not pro, pro like the people that run this channel. But here's the tips I've learned to save on cruises. 1. The Cheapest is always Carribean Cruises. Doesn't matter what cruise line you go through. So right there is a great way to save. 2. I sign up to get emails on deals that are happening right now from the cruise line. I prefer Royal myself. But you can do it with any cruise line. They will send you emails to alert you on sales and such. Usually during the holidays is when they'll alert you. Or it can just be random. For example, right now, they have a sale where they are taking "Up $550 off, 30% off all guest (which means you and anyone else you're sailing with), and kids sail free (depending on the age)". But these usually depend on how long you are sailing for to get the full discounted amounts. 3. I like to book a year in advance for cruises. I've done this through a travel agent because mine lets me pay so much monthly till a certain amount of time before the cruise. Usually 3 months before. But I would pay usually $100 a month. That way I won't break my bank while getting everything settled with the cruise. I think you can do the same with the cruise. But I never have done it before so I can't confirm it personally. But right now, looking at the website. I am seeing a 7 night cruise for 2023 for $351 per person leaving Louisiana. With that sale You should be able to get that cruise for around 600 with taxes. Not including flights and such. 4. For the cheapest cruises, Usually around fall is when they cruises do go cheaply for the Caribbean. Mostly cause it's Storm Season. I never encountered bad weather. Just a little rocky. BUT! That doesn't mean there might or might not be storms. And watch out for Holidays or when schools are out. It's nice to go Spring break or something. But trust me, it's incredibly Crowded. My first was during spring break. Didn't even get into a single Jacuzzi it was just filled with kids. 5. I'd prefer to leave from Galveston, TX for Cruises. Mostly cause the Flights. It's so much more cheaper to go there then it would be Miami, Orlando, New Orleans, and yes, even New York. Since those are popular Tourist destinations. Things would be more expensive to head to where pretty much everyone is going. Make sense. Here's 5 tips that I've learned. I hope these help you out. I would recommend looking are more t this channel's videos. I've learned a few things from them myself that I can't wait to use on my next cruise.

I know what you mean. I too am in Australia and our cheapest cruises are still quite pricey compared to US prices for a cruise of similar length. In saying that, Caribbean cruising is one of the most competitive cruising segments in the world, and ours isn't as great, so of course prices will be cheaper there. Doesn't help that only the budget lines, being P&O Australia and Carnival Australia, have cruises to Moreton Island, with RCI only going to Eden NSW, which, IMO, is not worth the fare. Though I'll be happy to pay $1500, balcony, just to spend 4 days on a cruise, even if it is the pink doughnut wonder Carnival Splendor, to Moreton Island.

@@travelwithdebandnick we're booking for Carnival Splendor on 30 Nov 2023, need the time to pay it off haha. It was a toss between Carnival and P&O Adventure, Carnival won due to the number of included dining options. I would have loved to sail with RCI, but Eden is the type of place we'd drive to, so a no go for us. Tassie was another option, but as my father in law lives there, we've done Hobart and Burnie already haha. After Moreton Island, if we enjoy cruising (despite schoolies at that time of year), we'll look to Princess and RCI for an eventual NZ cruise in a few years.

With being short staffed and at pretty much full capacity is scary, that will slow down all service and could impact your cruise slightly. Cruises are kind of expensive. Even for the cheapest. When I was searching up cruises, you usually have to add like 200 to 400 more $ per person depending on gratitudity, drink package , and how much the port fees/taxes are which are around 120$ per person. So if a cruise is 300$ it will probably be closer to 600 maybe 700 at the end of the cruise with no extra activity or speciality's taken.

Not true at all, causing is the cheapest most frugal way to travel when compared to everything else. Studies show that that cruising is #1 travel option for lower income individuals when compared to all inclusives, direct land stay vacations, private charters or organized tours. So cruising is definitely not expensive quite the opposite.

Yup. The big advantage of being a Florida resident is getting cheap, last minute cruises 🛳 😁

I will never take another cruise, and I've been on 6. The last cruise, nobody dressed for dinner, there weren't any Broadway-type shows. The fact the passengers could buy all the alcohol they wanted on a flat fee, "drink packages," seemed to turn half the people into obnoxious, stumbling drunks. The food was mediocre and the so-called "pizza" on the promenade deck tasted like a soft taco with ketchup and cheese. I won't name the cruise line, because they all seem to be going the same way, so to speak. There seemed to be hundreds of children on board whose parents were either too drunk to reprimand or just didn't care. If I'd wanted close contact with children, I'd have had some of my own. In short, this cruise was just an expensive mistake. Never again.

Just some potential feedback, considering Allie did most of the narration anyways, maybe if you did a video like this again you could just cut out Matt's bits and let Allie handle the transitions and the intro/outro, the volume/tone differences with each of Matt's lines was somewhat jarring for my earbuds.

I find it amusing that she thinks getting a low cruisefare that it will cause a diminished cruise experience. You're still going on the same ship, eating the same food with the same activities and entertainment options. You're just paying less for it. It seems like she was being very superficial saying her expectations were low and she didn't know what to expect, while at the same time indicating she is an experienced cruiser.

I think it's fair to say a lot of people assume the cheapest price for something will not be the best possible experience. Coach seats on an airplane, "nose bleed" seats in a stadium, etc.

So this is not super helpful since you're a Florida resident. :/ Your experience is quite skewed.

I'm sure an MSC cruise is even cheaper. I think the balance of what you pay for vs what you get is superior on Royal Caribbean. But more power to you if you like the other lines.

do these cruises dump their waste into the waters???
@RoyalCaribbeanBlog
2 жыл бұрын
Per International law, cruise ships are allowed to dump a small amount of waste, after it has been highly processed and it's hazard level reduced significantly. This is mostly food waste and some liquid waste. No oil or similar.

😀↗ Three thousand people are a lot of people on a 🚢 cruise ship/boat which could be understanding about the reason there are fairly good deals of some refer to as cheap pay for is not expensive maybe(?) a way that the person/s that's running the cruise 🚢 boat/ship are trying to make-up to accommodate their customers to pay less because their customers may have to wait a bit in long lines and or to get served at times maybe a bit of a wait and or customers of theirs may have to share a dining table in certain setup eat in places on the boat.👌↗I believe that person/s are sometimes known to get a really good deal of some refer to as cheap, but, is a good deal of customer service person/s business in trying to make up or accommodate person/s for small problem matter/s that may appear during their sevicing their customer's.👌↗Such luxurious built cruise 🚢 ship/boat can be a fun and or exciting and or relaxing choice of persons to choose to enjoy; but, maybe required of person/s to have some patience at times to be respectfully understanding in regards to seeing theirs a lot of people for to be served by.↗😊
