Ash is currently being absolutely decimated by a fungal disease in the USA. In Europe it killed something like 90% of their Ash trees. There's still some and proactive culling of trees infected with it means it'll take a while for the shortage to become especially felt, but a company like fender has enough momentum to their production and likely does enough of the processing in house they need to be proactive.

Maybe 1900 to 2200 and that's still high but I'd be more accepting. Need a hard case with case candy. When you start buying guitars for 1500 or more it best come with a hardshell case. Gig bags for that high dollar guitar is a joke. That alone I will never even contemplate or think of buying one.
