Firstly, incredible talent. I would say your first attempt was better, I think the second looked more like high quality graphic novel and the third like a video game concept art. I'm no expert of course, but felt the outlines of certain things felt a bit too strong on the later images. Great drawings though!

Hey just come across your video, your work is amazing! What tools do you use? I am a phd student in veterinary engineering, and would like to illustrate certain anatomies for my study. I do sketches but am not very good really but would like to be much better.

It's good but lacks anatomy and subtle rendering of texture on top of objects. More of a cartoon style. But this could be a by product of drawing in photoshop which gives you way less control than what you got on paper. But lack of anatomical detail is likely true in either case. Proportions and anatomy makes a huge difference. A few hundred hours messing around with a digital or clay ecorche should improve on that. As well as using real models.

@@JesusCondeArt No problem, I also think a thumbnail drawing first could potentially make a huge difference. Because without it you'll be too busy trying to figure out what you're drawing, to focus on the details of each object with help of reference. For instance, there's a barrel in the corner. Because of the thumbnail you know it'll fit with all other objects in the scene which allows you to zoom onto it and carefully render the wood fibers. Then you've got a checklist of objects to finish instead of blindly trying to do everything at once which could be overwhelming. Same with shading, a small value and color thumbnail. Then you can apply rough value or color to the entire scene and then treat every object separately with the help of reference. But I don't quite understand color either, very unintuitive to do from imagination. Maybe it's best to think of it as a children's coloring book. As long as it's the right color you can get away with a lot. Wood, mid value brown, dark value, slightly more blue in the brown, highlights yellow. You could assume some of the blue would turn the darker value in the red carpet slightly blue as well, so more of a purple. Anyway looks good, I think you got what it takes to become the next Alan Lee.
