I'm proud of her because you could tell it made her uncomfortable to say no but she stuck to her guns anyway. She knows her worth and how long it can take to crochet some of the things she makes. Proud of her.

Yarn actually are rather expensive so i doubt there are much profit as it is for 15$. I crochet myself in denmark and unless yarn are Way more expensive here its not something you Can earn much from its most for fun. She is doing fine work❤

Maybe I'm on different culture or some, but as a seller, you should've raise your price higher than what it's worth of your hardwork, maybe 2-5 dollars depending on what are you selling. That way, if people want to negotiate the price down, you can accept the offer without losing yourself.

The yarn is available in thrift stores very reasonable. If you chose this to make money it won’t work. If you want to make use of your time volunteer for seniors . Shopping for them get them to doctors apts visit in hospitals or nursing homes. The pay is in helping others and the gratitude they have for your help. Not all rewards are financial some are priceless !

Not to mention the time and work in knitting/crocheting, and the muscular exhaustion that exists. I have many friends who have undergone surgery after injuring themselves crocheting quickly and exhaustively to deliver an order on time. As a crocheter , we get everyone wanting everything for free and half the price. I’ve tried selling my things because it’s my hobby. But, I always end up losing out. Even on the days it would’ve been nice to have extra cash… but oh well. That’s why I just gave up.

Any vendor should expect a customer would eventually do that. You people need to realize that there will always be situations in life that could make you uncomfortable, but that doesn't necessarily mean you should avoid it. Learn to cope with it.

I’m a vendor at festivals and $15 for her product is crazy low. I know people who sell this kind of stuff for $30 and up. I made friendship bracelets that take 5-8 hours to make and sell them for $10 to $40 depending on how much effort it took

I am forever explaining to people that you're paying for more than just the supplies it took to make the item. Once it's broken down for people- all the years of experience, high quality materials (plush yarns aren't cheap man), time to make the item, wear and tear on someone's body/eyesight, tools or learning materials/patterns, etc, they usually are more understanding of what they consider to be a "high" price.

Please don't do this. Please. Artists already have a hard time getting paid fairly for their work. She was so uncomfortable with you haggling with her. Even if you had given her money afterwards, it still sets a bad example towards other people that if you push artists hard enough they will give you discounts against their own volition. Please dont put people in uncomfortable positions just for content. People deserve kindness regardless of whether or not they give into your attempts to haggle. Edit: it seems people think this comment is against haggling. It's not. I live in asia and I haggle a ton. I have nothing against it as long as it's done in a space where haggling is accepted and the person I'm haggling with is okay with it. But this person is obviously not okay with it. She said no the first few times and even said there's no negotiating so he just blatantly ignored her wishes for content and that's what I have a problem with, especially as other people already tend to undervalue artists so watching this video could make them feel like it's okay to do this with other artists as well.

As someone who crochets I can promise her prices are fair. I have to order my yarn online and it's not cheap. I see people selling themselves short online and it's put me off trying to sell my toys. I've been crocheting since I was 18 and I'm 43 now. Good on her and thank you for recognising the value of her work ❤❤❤

She would have felt more blessed with kindness if you had just bought two of the $15 plushies versus harassing her over one just to give her a “tip”. This is not kindness… it’s harassment. You clearly stressed her out and made her feel bad the whole time. Just buy two and let her have her day of having sold those two without stress.

I wish people realized, if they are going to produce content that builds a large following, they need to be more responsible about how others see them treat people. Seriously!!!!! People really drive me nuts I know some people that will go to places just to haggle as a sport for fun because they enjoy it. I want to vomit when people do that especially if they have the money and don’t need to be doing it. i’m so sorry I didn’t end up working out. People suck sometimes and ruin a good thing😞 I hope you at least still enjoy doing it for fun. Great gifts for family and friends.❤

As a fellow crocheter who often gets scolded (even by my own friends) at how expensive my self-designed creations, my eyes got wet. Even if the yarns and tools were cheap, the long years of learning them (some people also had to learn basic English, Spanish, and/or Turkish to understand the videos on KZitem) were not... 🥲 Only very few people understand and appreciate crochet in my third world country. Most will choose to buy the cheap factory knit products from China... Thank you for making this girl's day, maybe week, maybe month, maybe year, maybe each time she rewatch this, forever. ❤

As someone who crochets I’m VERY glad he gave her the extra money. That octopus(?) was 15 and was honestly priced low already. The labor and material cost is definitely worth more than that. I really hope her crochet business booms because her plushies are super cute ❤

@meatbalking5 That was probably 1 and half skeins which is $4 a skein or more, plus the hooks, plus the eyes, plus the stuffing, plus it actually takes a couple hours and people deserve more than a couple cents for their time. If she's doing this as a job she's making little profit, if she is doing it as a hobby and just selling what she makes she MIGHT be making pocket change. As someone who crochets and is from Canada, this is expensive to make
