One of the BEST reviews I’ve found so far!!! Thank you so much!!! I just got the SE 2023 2 -days ago and I’m very happy with my purchase. I first went to T-Mobile and they charge a setup fee/activation fee of $35 just to set up a new phone. I later went to Walmart and no set up fee and their iPhones are on special for $200 less. I paid $300 plus tax for a black iPhone SE 2023 with 128 gigs of storage for a brand new iPhone. I had a iPhone 6 Plus that just started glitching so bad that it became obsolete. I’m happy I didn’t have to spend $800+ for a brand new iPhone. I just needed a phone that worked. Now, I’m looking forward to getting the next brand new iPhone in 2024. I’ll keep this one for about a year or so and it will become my back up phone if anything happens to the next one which might be the iPhone 16 Pro Max. We’ll see. For now,I am happy with the purchase and more than anything, the price!!! I haven’t had issues with the battery yet, but I always carry a portable charger with me anyhow. Low battery gives me anxiety. You never know when you might be in an emergency situation.

I find it a shame that Apple didn’t even bother to offer an iPhone 8 Plus size for the SE 3 (and that is also one of the reasons why people weren’t excited). And I am really hoping they will take the design from the 11 on the next SE 4, even with the LCD display. It is a really good phone for the money, but man, the battery is just like an iPhone 12 mini. :)

battery haha, yes. Agree with you on the plus size. We need more budget variations! Not just one SE in 3 colors...

An SE Plus would be their best seller. That’s why. It’s very sad they didn’t do it. An SE 4 based on the iPhone 11 would be amazing, but I find it unlikely that will happen because they have stopped producing it. So very questionable they’d get the supply chain up again. And it would attract users who now, after the launch of the 15, are buying the 13 and compete with it.

This video fits so perfect to my situation. I got the 14 Pro since release and bought an iPhone SE 3 some days ago, for work/hobby. Now i‘m really thinking bout using the SE 3 as main device. Doesn’t makes sense when using the expensive phone rarely, ik… I will probaly sell my 14P and find an other solution for separating work and private.

Thank you for your informative opinions on these two phones. I’ve been debating over a refurbished iPhone 11 or an iPhone SE 2020. I currently have a iPhone 6s 😂 it is holding on barely!

I read that the 11 will update until 2026 while the se 2 until 2027 so that was my personal deciding factor to go with the se. Upgrading from the 7 plus that has barely any battery life left. I’ve a warning about it for some time 🥴 so being on a budget the se will hopefully get me by for 2-3 years.

Ive used all three generations(still using the 3rd gen) and I got to say the only disappointing one was the first 1. Felt alot cheaper than even the 5 or 5s. Other than that, they have been great phones, smaller screen in my opinion is why I bought it.

i had the 5s, se2, and now the se3 from the SE series form factor. i like the small screen of the 5s/se1, but i really hate how the square edges feel on the 5s and the 12mini/13ProMax that i have also owned. the round edges of se2/3 are perfect. my dream SE4 will either be 6sPlus upgrade or X or XR just make sure it's single rear cam with night mode and still has a physical sim, but use USB-C, and if apple is generous add U1 chip for pointing to airtags.

I have an iPhone 12 and I’m practicing using my cell phone less. No social media, no reason for me to have the bigger phone. I’ll be downgrading soon. Nothing wrong with the smaller phone. Using cell phones less while using it as a tool rather than an addiction is key. Reducing is better for you as a human. There is no reason everyone must upgrade every single year and literally waste money. Hell to the no.

Max, thanks for this message I support everything you've said. I enjoy SE, but recently bought 15, it was a huge upgrade for me, mostly because of the cameras, that I use for content creation - but i still try to use it less. And I find myself using my old SE more... My goal with technology is exactly as you stated - using tech as a tool and reducing all the social media time have a good day sir

I picked up a iphone se 3 recently, it reminds me on what phones, pockey friendly devices that help you through your day to stay connected. Iphone se does that in the best way. Small, powerful well built and extremely efiicient. It helps me curb my urge to browse to unwanted media and keeps me productive. The tocuh ID I still feel is lot more secure and easy to use. The silver lining is the cost of repair for the phone in authorized apple repair is extremely affordable.

Both do the same. Okay, the 14 pro has a much bigger battery. The SE is fine for day to day use. People are greedy and always want more and the newest. It’s human behavior. It’s a status thing, a ego thing for lots of people.

I have the SE 3, the size is perfect, I love touch ID, and it has an A15, what else do you want, it's so cheap and amazing. I don't use my phone as a main device, I use it for messaging, youtube sometimes, and reminders. I am an audio and video producer, so I mainly do everything on my computer, I also have an iPad 9th gen, it's also the cheaper in the line up, and it can handle everything I throw at it, it's my main device, i do a lot of multitasking, I take notes with the Apple Pencil, I pair it with a keyboard and a mouse to use as a laptop when I'm out of home, because I hate laptops form factor lol. Going back to the SE, I've had it since a little bit after launch, it's been more than a year and it has never let me down, it always works perfectly, fluently, and also, 64 GB has been more than enough for me, it's a beast! The only downside as it is an smaller phone is the battery, it lasts about a day/ day and a half depending on your use. So if you are someone who is on their phone 24/7 maybe you can use another option. Other than that THE SE is great. Phones nowadays are so overrated because even cheaper Android phones can do the basic and really necessary stuff amazingly, even some of them having great cameras, so i think people should invest their money on a actually useful workstations like an iPad a Laptot or a Desktop. Phones are not that useful tbh.
