About the flights not being long enough to enjoy meals, amenities, and sleep as well: I've flown "backwards" in order to connect to a longer flight for this reason. Then I just pray for no tailwind! The best is to live on the west coast of the United States: good flight length to Europe or Asia. Presuming you are flying upper class of course. Otherwise it's hell. So I'm told 🙂

I would report that man to Customer Services. It is shocking to pay all that 💰💰💰💰 and then to be treated like that. No engaging with the customer or weather discussion pleasantries. No eye contact or walking at the pace that suits the client. He walked sloppy too and dragged his feet as he approached the handover. Admittedly, he probably does this walk 30 times a day, but that's no excuse. It's the job he signed up for. Yeap, that would definitely be a complaint from me.

The kindness and hospitality offered by owners/managers of pubs and B&Bs helps make one's stays particularly pleasant and fun, even without luxury. I have happy memories of stays around the UK. One night was spent in a family owned castle that took in guests ... we were invited to join the family for tea. Nothing fancy, but we were regaled with great stories and the history of the place. Our room was a bit dank and chilly, the shower water just tepid, but what an experience, thanks to our hospitable hosts who also joined us at breakfast and took us for a tour of the place and it's grounds. We were there a bit off season and the only guests that night, which may explain the personal touch, but it was much appreciated.

My late father in law laid the first airstrip both in Abu Dhabi and in Doha during the second World War . He was with the royal Engineers and planes returning from the far east theatre had nowhere to land and risked crashing if out of fuel , so airstrips were created in both places. Employing local workmen , he was alone carrying out both tasks and spoke of being guarded by the men of the local Sheikh bearing scimitars . This was of corse before the discovery of oil and the Sheikh lived very modestly . Greatly enjoyed the film

This Guy Giving Us The Tour Has Been So Spoiled From Just Being Exposed To Plush Living He No Longer Can't Deal With The Slightest Inconvience. It to warm wet towel is to hot & on & on it goes. Good Grief Oh & now second shower 🚿 not working. Does this man EVER think of people living on the STREET who have No place to EVER take a 🚿. 🤨

Coincidentally, I saw a similar video from another travel vlog but the flight was from Abu Dhabi to London. The flight was about 8 hours, presumably due to headwinds. Their shower worked though! They also had a chauffeured car take them to the airport in Abu Dhabi. Look forward to the review of your hotel and flight home.

Thanks Tim, looks great. But I'm wondering why people need a bedroom and full bathroom with shower on just a 5 or 6 hour journey? Surely a toilet and comfy chair should suffice.

I'm 44 years old and I have never flown before, nor will I ever. That being said, it is cool to see someone else enjoying it. I sort of get to experience it vicariously through you. Great review.

Amazing , considering when ive booked business class on Emirates which costs £2500-3500 from LHR toDXB, this isn't that bad price wise.

First time i can say i was truly shocked by the price as it was a lot cheaper than expected as you get treated like a King So nice to have everyone doing anything for you as well as guiding you though everything so that kind of service i could say it was worth it for the traveler that can afford it and travels a lot.

I've been watching "Walk With Me Tim" for quite a while now. Does Tim live in a dolls house? I'm sure most things that are huge to him are normal size to the rest of us. Those plane windows were normal size for sure, nothing huge about them 🤣🤣🤣

What a special experience. It’s weird I know, I hate pricey hotels, they feel like a rip off, but give me a high class seat on a plane and I’m loving it. Great video Tim, Thank You!!

So, do I pay £5000plus just to get to Abu Dhabi, or do I spend the £5000 for 2 weeks all inclusive holiday in a 5* Mediteranean resort? I'll send you a post card from Crete!

Comparing VFM of an 'All Inclusive' Jet2 package holiday to a First Class flight alone implies you are not the target client of the latter ... Regular First Class passengers expense it all on company travel funds ... no one in their right mind would routinely use their own personal income on that sort of travel ...

@@ThreeFiddy1701My question was rhetorical! Even when I was working and travelling regularly first class and Concord, I could never have justified the expense of that upgrade. The only way would have been to use my air miles, or be lucky to get an upgrade at the gate, but I’d rather have saved air milesfor personal pleasure.

I only skimmed through as there are numerous uploads about this Etihad Suite. What I did see wasn't good. £140 to correct your name, despite the thousands blown on this flight. The Residence not retained on your booking after name change. A sullen staff member dashing through the airport to take you to the VIP Suite and he even took you to the wrong desk. TV not working in the VIP Suite. A shower in your Residence that didn't work is appalling. Completely unacceptable. Finally, if you are progressing from caravan sites to this class of travel, be informed that a flute of Champagne is held by its stem, not its bowl. You'll be sussed out instantly by anyone who knows anything about wine.

The first class turkishair lounge at Istanbul airport is amazing. They have any food and drink you could possibly want and the facilities are out of this world. I only flew first class once, as a treat, but it blew my mind.
