Hey Ben, I use to work on pontoons on the Brisbane River. So many pontoon covered in duck and bird poo. The only customer that had a system that worked was a motion sensor hooked up to a sprinkler. Every time a bird landed on his pontoon it would trigger the motion sensor and squirt water and they would fly off.

The only problem with that is the range motion sensors work within. He would need to set up a bunch to cover that area and supply electricity. A IR camera hooked up to as raspberry PI might work better but you dont want things in the way of the green at all which is also another issue.

Hi Ben, another good vid today. We visited a caravan park who had a huge Cockatoo problem and they solved it by playing a sound track of predator bird sounds on a loop. To us it just sounded like a walk in the forest but the Cockatoo’s haven’t been back. They had stripped the trees of all there leaves previously for several years. Gone now.

Can you add some sort of injector into the line from the water tanks to the sprinklers? Then it would keep the entire area covered and would be as simple as turning the sprinklers on.

A couple thoughts. You can get motion activated sprinklers that work for deer really well. I work around agriculture fields here in the states. I have seen them use metalic streamers and and CD's that will twist and move in the wind. They also use bottle rockets to deter birds as well.

I'm sure someone has mentioned this but my local golf course that I drive by has a pond/water hazard right next to a green and they have a solar water spout. Which probably has a 10m in diameter range. Im guessing the ducks are coming in due to the water so maybe there that you gota do the work. Good luck bud. Love the vids.

I don't know about ducks, but geese hate anything that flaps in the wind, especially if it is reflective. We used caution tape with good success and you can hang the aluminum throwaway pans you make pies in. Problem is you have to look at that all the time. In America you can also pay services that bring border collies because geese hate their scent. See it on golf courses a lot because it lasts for months. All very weird, but may work for ducks. Just get a border collie 😂
@precisionleadthrowing4628

you can use green laser (as long as you check with CAA and make sure it will not stray to the air) or you can solve the problem with led pills - 22 air rifle works really well - FX Impact or FX Crown and as a bonus you have a lot of free food. Just check if it's permitted and make sure you have safe shooting angle and solid backstop (and if the pellet would skip it will not bounce off to the highway. The second method is probably the most simple and most effective because they ducks will learn fast. Laser works but it needs maintenance if automated but it can be fun however the ducks will come back eventually
