Arcanists heal the same way humans heal, but a human will take weeks or months to recover from an injury, and an Arcanist body will only take minutes so they'll just keep playing and hurting themselves over and over until their bodies can't take it anymore.

Yes but wouldn't the same happen to humans in the long run? When they heal, after those weeks or months, they will come back to the field of their chosen sport and might also get hurt again. And then have to wait for another set of weeks or months to come back. Unless arcanists are more fragile, I don't see how they are different because in my mind it's like this: For humans, normal healing takes long time, for arcanists takes minutes, that's the norm. So coming back to their sport right after healing has the same likelihood for an accident to happen. So the only difference I could understand was that, arcanists are more likely to push their body to the limit "faster". It's not like humans won't have the same fate if they keep pushing, but due to the nature of their healing process it will take longer to happen. Also the other difference I got which i mention in the video was that arcanists can go back on the field with the painkillers, in which case they are not healed, so they are more at risk of making their injury worse. I don't know how to explain it I'm afraid ;; xD. I just can't tell why arcanists are more likely to end up breaking their bodies than humans, when re-entering their sport after healing. After just painkillers I get it, but after healing, it confuses me, cause in a sense, it is sth that happens to humans too, only after some time, cause they, too, still come back to their sport after healing.

@@LadyHawthorn it's not really that their bodies are more fragile it's that the fact they have this ability makes it so they can be exploited and used in more games which in turn will make their bodies break faster than a normal humans would. I also I think there's a tinge of racism in their sports industry when they implied that arcanist are only able to play because they have these abilities(which is why I think desert flannel brought up the Cinderella thing)but idk I have to watch the scene properly again

@@Lynxx52 Ah so the fact they can overdo it is not about pushing through after healing but about playing too many games in general..ok this makes some sense to me now. Cause humans can't play as many games. They did mention their chances are given to them because they are arcanist and they can play more games than humans indeed, so I did get the exploitation but I guess overdoing it sometimes has to do with perhaps trying to prove themselves or just get to live their dream before being discarded. To make it more clear what I got after you said this: Maybe the urge to go back so fast and play more and more is also because they know that if they don't go back to the field right away they might be discarded from these sports for another arcanist that can do it at that time (replaced cause of availability), and there's also a fear that they have to play as many games as possible before they are replaced by someone considered perhaps "better" since they are treated almost like objects (replaced cause of skill difference) and never be given another chance as athletes in their chosen sport. That's perhaps what Desert meant by fear of losing their dream and why injuries don't matter to them. Because they know how easily replaceable they are.

@LadyHawthorn yes that's exactly what it was. I'm really sorry that I couldn't properly put it into words

@@Lynxx52 Nono, like I said, what you said flipped a switch for me and I finally got it. xD Thank you. ;; It's crazy how sth so simple could be so hard to express, cause I too tried so hard to find the right words to express my confusions. You guys saw like 5 minutes max of me trying to describe it but the actual footage was like 30 minutes saying the same thing over and over again, with different words to sound remotely like how it was in my head. xD
