Trogly why didn't you wait for the 3 string electric? If you are gonna properly check out this small time brand you should at least have them send over their flagship pro model electric 3 stringer. I'm confident that's what most of us wanted to see, as you are not an acoustic specialty channel. 6 strings are cool but if you are checking out a brand that specializes in 3 string electric guitars it is just baffling that you would instead review a 6 string, and an acoustic at that! I'm still interested in the acoustic review but that doesn't peak my interest like their main models.
@@ldub0775 It just may have been the highest amount of interest he has ever shown, we don't know.

I had alternating luck on a guitar recently. When it arrived there was an issue with the coil tap on the bridge humbucker, and I was all set to send it back. This was after unboxing, plugging in and checking all the knobs and switches. But after playing it properly, it had such lovely tone in the working positions, and felt so nice that I decided to void the warranty and wade in with a soldering iron instead of getting it replaced, I was scared the replacement might not be as nice. I'm actually happy the warehouse sent me the faulty one :)

Don't forget the Mom guitarists. In our family, I am the one who plays and introduced my kids to guitar, drums, cello, violin, piano, bass, etc. We had a garage band for years. At my daughter's graduation pool party, I played a little lead guitar..kids were like, "that's your mom?...Whos Santana? Blue oyster cult? WOE... Play that again".. My eldest received scholarships in music and later, worked professionally as a concert cellist. I still play almost every day. Everything from Santana, CCR, to Tom Misch, or video game themes. Anybody can provide inspiration..in the right "measure".

Those Korina Vee and Explorer style guitars seem really susceptible to light cracking near the nut edges and around the neck heels. I got a Joe Bonnamassa Vee and it had similar cracking around the nut when it arrived. Unfortunately I live in Australia and there was only five of them brought into the country and it was the last one available so I had to grin and bear it. But under inspection the cracks I had seemed to only be in the finish (oddly enough) and when strung up with 11-52’s it was completely stable. Later on it developed finish cracks around the neck heel/ neck to body joint. I did some research on it and apparently it’s a common issue with nearly all of them having it.

I experienced similar finish cracking at the nut happened to me on an Epi Korina V and Explorer set at the beginning of the run in 2016. They went back for replacements and now the second V has developed the same cracks over time. The Explorer has held up but had other finish flaws (black specs, pine pitch(!), unbuffed spot on headstock) that I was willing to live with.

There's not that much info, and well it's true that there is not a lot of evolution from the previous model but they put out a good guitar in my eyes, not only CTS pots but also the graphtech nut and the probuckers (that I don't know if the previous model had) are great upgrades

If you want to watch just unboxing, sure. I watch just to see what he’s pulling out, but Guitar Max’s channel is a lot more informative from a review standpoint. Much to my wife’s chagrin, I buy my guitars to play and not as investments, so, while fun to watch, this channel is literally just guitar porn. I’ve actually bought a few of Max’s reviewed guitars, and he’s been pretty much spot-on from my experience.
