My first BMW was a 2015 F30 328i I owned it for about 2 years I drove it down from California to back home to Texas. It was an absolute great car and was in immaculate condition. I picked it up with 40000 miles and sold it with 57000 I never had any issues with it at all I just did regular oil changes and would change both the air filter and cabin filter. I sold it because I had wanted a M235i so I picked one up in California again but this time I had it shipped down to me. It’s a 2016 F22 M235i in mineral white with coral red interior. I absolutely love this car it also is my favorite car to date. I picked it up with 30000 miles about 4 months ago and it now has 32000. I’m about to do my first oil change on it along with the air filter and spark plugs. So far it’s been a great reliable car for the time I have owned it. I don’t have any performance mods done to it yet just cosmetic mods and some coding I have done.

Just got a 2017 M2 with manual with 16,800 miles. It replaces a flash flooded 2015 GTI, which I loved. This M2 is on another level though. The GTI was fun, utilitarian, comfortable, and got me where I needed to go. You can't just "drive" an M2 though. It's an EVENT every time you drive it. The sound (especially with the M Performance exhaust), the direct steering and planted feel, and the power just makes every drive a capital-E Event. It's exactly what I wanted, and pairs fantastically with my 1999 Miata. Between the two, I'm covered for any driving itch I may have.

Don’t be scared lol it’s my first car and I’m continually learning more and more about it but the bottom line seriously is- take care of it and it will take care of you. Do the oil once every year or around 12,000 miles, when the car has a service light do it. When it says “requires premium fuel” put it in. It’s money like everything else but if you want it that bad it’s worth it. I got an M235i from the dealer used over a year ago, still under warranty with 21k miles. Issues I experienced: - Gas pump shutting off/getting stuck - Backup camera showing black screen - Coolant hose broke off and leaked coolant all over the engine bay. Had pull over and call BMW roadside All of these issues were fixed no charge since it was under warranty and each time they let me use a complimentary loaner while they worked on my car. If people are interested in getting a used BMW please make sure you get a certified preowned and that it's still under manufacturer's warranty. Also, BMW's service is absolutely incredible lol you get treated like royalty.

Im going to agree, I’ve had my F30 (purchased at 42,000 miles, have 90,000 on it now), and the only real problems I’ve had were the 02 sensors needing to be replaced and a problem with the catalytic converter (all parts were covered under warranty). I also had an E90 330i which had the infamous water pump failure at around 80,000 miles and a valve gasket leak twice (magnesium block with aluminum bolts kept getting over tightened and they’d snap, thus causing oil to leak). I had that car for 5 years (purchased with 52,000 miles and traded it in for my F30 at 95,000 miles). The E46 330CI I had for a year and honestly I wanted a sedan (crazy I know) so I didn’t really have it long enough to really comment on its reliability

really nice video! Though would never change a E90/92 to an M2. For me the E90/E92 is so much more special than an M2. You can't even compare the engines, the rawness and so on. I understand the M2 in this video is really modified and then its a different case. But a stock one, not even close. Also drove an M2 Comp twice on track and it was slightly underwhelming in compared to my F80 Comp. I guess people have different tastes, which is great :) The E92 M3 I owned is still the most special car I have owned. Unfortunately I was not so lucky with the engine :(

I had 5 Beemers, 2 Benzes, 2 Pathfinders, 1 Acura CL, 1 2003 Boxster S so far and currently eyeballing the M2, Manuals: 1990 M3 E30 (Bought it almost new in 1992, Owned it for 2 yrs), 1993 325 (Bought it with 10K miles, Owned it for 3 yrs), 2006 330i (Bought it New, Owned it for 3 yrs). Auto: 2006 E60 530i (Bought it New in 2006), 2014 X3 (Bought it used with 500K miles, my wife's current SUV) All of them very reliable up to 70-80K miles. I only kept the E60 for over 9 years. THE WORSE BMW I have ever owned is the E60 530i. However, the problems started at 70K miles and after 6 yrs of ownership. Between 70k-105k miles I spent $8K fixing leaks, steering column, A/C, misfires etc. in 2011 I added a C300 to my little stable, by far the most reliable german car I even owned, 10 yrs old, 110K miles, minor problems so far. In 2017 I bought a 2018 C43 amg-ish and love it more than anything. I just paid it off and now I'm looking to buy the M2 comp manual. I love this little rocket as much as you do. I always had 2-3 cars to drive, right now I have the old w204 and the w205 C43 all in blk, I used to live in IL and my 3rd car was a Pathfinder LOL. Now I live in TX and I don't care about trucks. I've had my 2013 335i 6MT for 2 years now and it's up to around 75k miles. So far I've had all the common BMW failures: valve cover gasket, oil filter housing gasket, and the coolant line (another common issue brought up in forums and covered in a vid by Kies I think?). My oil level sensor also went out last year. Waiting for that water pump to go out... any day now lol (what's everyones experience with this?). Other than that, car drives great and I've been keeping up with maintenance, although still trying to figure out spark plug interval - seems like BMW recommends 60k but I've been recommended every 25-30k (although some say that's only necessary with a tune, which I do not have) and am inclined to do the latter as first thing I had done when I bought the car was spark plugs and it just seems better to take more precaution. I also live in LA and drive in traffic frequently. OH I almost forgot, I had a major major issue when I first got the car and I think it only applies to MY 12-13 M Sport 335i (some even say it only applies to manuals but I believe some autos experienced it), where the highspeed cooling fan would kick on randomly and cause the car to go into limp mode. It's a problem well documented on Bimmerpost and something my excellent indy shop recognized and fixed. It was quite expensive and cost over $1k (replaced fan and flashed ECU I believe). Ever since then it's been great, but I feel like this is something BMW needs to pay for even after warranty. Bottom line, I do feel like it'll be a reliable car going forward and I was also not too sure if the previous owner took as good care of the car as he says he did. He had a JB4 and intake, and I removed the JB4 a few months after getting it and plan to go with a flash tune sometime in the future. My dad also has an X5 with N55 and it's been great for him with zero issues in the two years he's had it.

Actually purchasing a 2015 328i M Sport, premium and driver assistance packages included. It’s the beaut estoril blue color with the oyster and achrite trim Not bad for first bmw…if my credit was better, they told me I could actually afford a new 911, lotus, mclaren or R8….yes I’m repairing my credit now so I can run with the big dogs.

I have a BMW 328i 2013 fully loaded and the brakes squeak when I do little stops, I read that a lot of other people have this problem and that they go to the dealership and they are informed that brakes just are like that. Help ?

I’m currently looking at the BMW M2 Comp, Audi RS3, and the MB CLA45 AMG. I’ve always owned AWD cars and love the feel. While I realize that the Audi and MB are not true AWD cars, a RWD car concerns new living in Utah. What is your experience with the BMW M2 and traction?

Hey! I’m 18 and I’m a senior this year. I want a bmw but obviously my parents want me to get a Honda due to them knowing bmw’s can have problems. Especially because I don’t make a lot of money as of right now. Anyone suggestions or tips on what model I can get for under 10k that’s usually reliable?
