I'm disabled even the government doctors and vocational expert they sent me to say I cannot work and am fighting for Medicaid and SSI (Florida didn't expand Medicaid) its abusers who make it harder for those who need the help. Which I'll be grateful to taxpayers for being kind enough to help me through the government.

You work, that means not a bum, like being disabled and unable to work is not being a bum I to worked in the past usually for cash doing what I could. Due to not having health care my medical issues and status got far worse. I'm not ashamed I need help now so asked for it.
@shopswitafist

im not saying everyone one disability is a bum. my mother is on disability because she cant physically stand due to an amputation. there are people out there who just get their doctor to sign off on papers just to get them out of working so they can collect and if they can get disability then they are even better. i work yes. however i dont work enough hours to keep us off the system. i dont have someone here to help me with the bills and stuff so because my income is less than what it was 6 months ago, we qualified for stamps and my children got medical. the only medical i have is from their father because he is required to keep it. im sorry if i came off wrong.

This is 100% ON THE MONEY. Have done my time in customer service, and have dealt with thousands of these people firsthand. And now that we have a second term of 'O-entitlement' in office, its only gonna get worse. Just think of what these people will do when the US Gov't goes bankrupt and they run out of food. Lock and load, America...

My coworker and I like going out for lunch to Subway a couple times a month. Usually, we see all sorts of people wearing their PJs and slippers, followed by a gaggle of little kids in there. The last couple of times I noticed we only see workers out on their lunch breaks like ourselves (quite pleasant needless to say). Then we noticed the sign saying “we no longer accept EBT cards” (food stamps). No wonder it has been more pleasant in there.

It saddens me how people who are unchilded don’t get the help they need. They deserve help because they are humans too. Also some will have kids in the future. Even if they won’t, they still deserve help. No one deserve to be on the street just because they decided to be nonparents. Of course some states do help unchilded people.

Most people who are on welfare also are given frontline eligibility to HUD housing/apts. So some of them pay little to nada for rent. I live in a cheap, unsecure apt complex where shootings and drug deals are routine. I don't make enough to live somewhere else. Yet, we have native hispanic neighbors who get free rent, welfare, and have plasma screen TVs. -_- Oh, and the oldest child doesn't have to pay tuition.

You guys do realize that most people on welfare work? Hard too.
@Cm22c
10 жыл бұрын
Yes, but they're not productive. You can't just work, you have to work smart. You should know that. Too many people piss away their money, they buy things they don't need, they don't maintain the things that they own, they have kids they cannot afford, they drop out, they start criminal records that make it difficult for them to find good jobs, they blame someone else for their failures, they suck on the system's teat rather than better themselves. Yes, many of these people work, but it's usually low-skilled, low paying work that cannot offset everything that's being/has been pissed away on them. If the work you do, and if the life you live is not fruitfully, nobody should give a shit about how hard you work.
@kylemin3

No it used to be like that back in the 90's but it's not that way anymore.

. If they are receiving welfare then usually it's because they ARE legally entitled according to the standards set by the state and federal regulations. Unless they are lying to the welfare workers and committing fraud. In which case they don't THINK they are entitled ----they think they are conning the state. Welfare thinks they are entitled though.
@MrMarkerickson

I have to admit that this is the funniest thing i have seen about welfare. My children have medical and we get SNAP benefits. I only collect them because we qualify. My job wont give me more than 26 hours a week and no matter how hard i try, i cant seem to find another job that would give me more hours. I know people who have abused the system and were caught which i am glad but then there are people who are on it who deserve to be on it. Then we have people who cant get it because they fall in between the making too much but making too little to support the family with food and bills. Good job guys for bringing this to light. Good Job!!!
