I have a 97 elegant in natural that is in amazing shape. I love to play it but I hate to play it at the same time, so it sits in its case, waiting for our next rendezvous. Such a beautiful looking and sounding guitar. Maybe you can buy it off me one day Austin, if I’m feeling generous! 🎸

Wen you start to play Go with the flow, it gives me a smile, me and my band played this one a lot.This guitar was meant to play, killer tone and looks the best, a minor mod (personal preference) I would do is give it a black speedknobs and a chrome tip switch 👌 no more than that! Love it!!!!

Salutations Austin! Real exceptionally nice Les Paul Silverflow Elite! I really like the finish and would definitely like to see Gibson and Epiphone offer a whole lineup of guitars with this finish and possibly a Goldflow finish as well, it’s very tasteful. I believe that they added the black pickup selector switch tip to complement the ebony fretboard and the black headstock as well as the black background color with the Silverflow paint, it looks good either way, in my opinion. I really like the 57 Classic pickups in just about any guitar with humbuckers, but particularly in a Les Paul or similar guitar, however, they are great in hollow body and semi-hollow body guitars as well. My local guitar shop has a set of 57 Classic pickups that he obtained from a customer who had a set of other pickups installed installed, I am planning on picking them up for a Flying V that I am working on, or for one of my Les Paul guitars, possibly the Gold top. Thank you for posting these videos! Please have an excellent and awesome day! ☀️✨🎸

Just like this one, except it’s not carved, it’s a ply top… it’s my #1, now I know why!!😉

I know it's a collector thing really, but as a player I don't have much love for nitro finishes on guitars. All the finish checking can and does look great sometimes, but man... sometimes it just looks seriously ugly and is also a nightmare to take care of with humidity changes. As a player, I've got a few old 90s Fenders that have aged nicely - no idea if nitro or not - but have definitely got some nice "played in" vibes, but the rest of my guitars are all poly finishes as far as I can tell and post 2000 in terms of age. Not top end guitars either but, as I said, I play them and don't collect. and I'm not taking a $6-$10k guitar out to play some dive bar venue lol. I guess the poly vs nitro thing is just a matter of personal taste and I still love seeing the Gibsons that Trogly shares with us all - most being nitro natch - so can appreciate the beauty of the finish. I wonder if the day will come when Gibson stop making guitars with nitro finishes? Nah... not while there is a market for high end guitars with Gibson on the headstock and traditional finishes. I'd buy one tomorrow if it made me play like Jimmy Page, but for now I'll just enjoy the guitar porn on Trogly's channel 😎

I always thought of the Elegant as Gibson’s answer to the PRS 10 tops coming out in the 90’s. The Elegants look amazing, the fit and finish is great and the sound is pure Les Paul. Always wondered why I don’t see many on stage. Warren Haynes was an early endorser.

Beautiful guitar, I've never understood the prejudice some people have against chambered guitars, seems they would be more resonant. I have chambered and solid Les Paul s and they both sound good
@Kyush4

Chambering is nothing bad per se, but Gibson started putting chambering because the woods they used werent properly dried, so they're essentially chambering because they don't want to get better woods.

MAN! Whatever you paid, it was worth it. Don't ever say you overpaid. You could tell you were into that demo, lol. That thing deserves to be a main player (I think you'll be playing it more) however it is such a rare example...but that sound...man. Edit: I don't know if Trogs is into the whole "name your guitars" thing but that should at least have the nickname the 111 (one eleven, not one one one or one hundred eleven. Just the Gibson One Eleven) because it is a true 1 of a kind. 1 of 1 in more ways than 1.
As always, Thank you! I am always Educated by your Knowledge! WooF!

Okay, I'll give a little. I have been upsetting for a long time about wanting a chambered 3-pickup model with straightaway stringing. IPay pasqualino attention to all of the chambered Les Paul when they were coming out. If someone could tell me that one was made with three humbuckers and the three volume controls (and one tone knob) built into the economical import versions of the SG Custom, I would be willing to forgo having the straightaway stringing.
