Well, what can I say? Here's another successful adventure that was only made possible by the friendly people of Pakistan. In this video you will experience rugged, remote, high desert landscapes mixed with a bit of cultural history as well as some folklore. At the end of the beautiful Chipurson Valley in far Northern Pakistan lies the Baba Ghundi Ziarat, a memorial shrine for the man the brought Islam to the valley. This video was filmed on July 31, 2021, a rather turbulent and unsettling time for neighboring Afghanistan as U.S. troops began to withdrawal from the country and the Taliban began reaching otherwise untouched parts of the country. Every foreigner needs permission to visit this shrine near the border of Afghanistan's Wakhan Corridor. And, apparently, I couldn't have picked a worse time to go. I traveled to Chipurson with all intentions of following the orders of local authorities. Luckily for me, and with the help of the owner of the hotel I was staying at as well as some Pakistani tourists, some strings were pulled and I was granted permission and supplied transport to the shrine at the last second. Enjoy the scenes of this rarely visited holy region of the hospitable Wakhi people deep in the Pamir mountains. 🇵🇰
Негізгі бет I WAS FORBIDDEN TO TRAVEL TO THIS BORDER AREA IN PAKISTAN!....🇵🇰
