I am so paranoid that I always call companies back with numbers I get for myself. Even the police knocked my door and I checked police station to make sure it was the real police.

I've just been targeted by fake bailiff enforcement company. They got nowhere and I phoned police and CIVEA got them investigated.

People need to understand that the telephone number on your card is the number you ring when you are in trouble to connect to your bank. It isn't the number the bank uses too contact you. So if you see that number then you should know its fake.

I don’t answer phone calls I don’t know. I let it ring out then I Google it. If I get a text like that I don’t click on it and I contact the company myself as I don’t trust texts out of the blue same if I get texts from the bank or credit card companies

That's not true. They only change caller id but number is not from the bank.

They do that through VoIP which is basically a telephone service delivered through the internet. Any number can be created for caller ID purposes. The caller may not necessarily be in the country whose numbers they are using.

Her first mistake was keeping money in the bank. That's the last place you want your money. People don't care and don't do their research. In 100% of cases the banks always end up taking all your money. Just depends what part of the cycle you're in. If it's the trust building cycle you're in luck. If you're on the back end you learn the hard way.

Got a whatapp a week ago with a lady who was from 'total jobs' asking if I wanted a part time job paying £3,000 a week 😂 i asked her where she got my number from.. apprently the british govement so kindly gave it to her, i asked her to prove it and she avoided and carryed on asking about the job. I did report it to whatsapp but there was no option to why i was reporting the number.

Something like this happened to me YESTERDAY! I got a call random with a mobile number, asking me personal questions, I said sorry you have the wrong number, then she said NO you have a Vodafone account? Then it hit me, so I said what's my name and account number? She said I need to go through security first, I said OK tell me my name in full, she couldn't so I said if this was Vodafone they would address me by my name, then I said go by. I felt it wasn't real, her tone wasn't genuine.
