My very first flight was pre-911. From Sioux Falls to Dallas, with a layover in St. Louis. There were not that many passengers, maybe a dozen of us total. Some woman in first class had just gotten a promotion or something. After the layover, she comes out of first class with a couple of bottles of champagne and we all celebrated with her. She gifted the crew with a bottle when we landed in Dallas

@Caryn Gibson I like to warn out-of-state friends if they’re coming to Denver, they WILL know when they land. In 30+ years, every single time I’ve flown home, the plane drops the last couple of feet, sometimes bounces. When flying to Vegas, the landing was so smooth, Mom and I didn’t believe we’d actually touched down until we felt the brakes on the landing gear engage and slow down the plane. The flight attendant that saw our looks of confusion said, “Yeah, it’s weird when we don’t get jostled a bit. Welcome to Nevada!”
@cindylewwho

@JaxJupiter My daughter is a Flight Attendant. I asked her once if when they hit any type of turbulence, do the passengers look at her to see if she’s nervous? When I was young, I used to do that. She said absolutely, without a doubt. She said she always smiles at them and approaches them to see if they need anything. She approaches it from the angle that they’re not looking at her because they’re nervous, which they are, but more like they are looking at her because they may need something. As to not make them feel self conscious in front of everyone. I’m not a nervous flier at all now, but if a Flight Attendant came and sat down next to me during a flight and held my hand, I would immediately go into prayer mode. Two “Our Father’s”, 5 “Hail Mary’s, and the list would go on and on 😂😅🤪!

3:26 when I bartended in the early 2000s, I became friends with a woman in her late 30s. I was 26 or 27. She did EVERYTHING for male attention. If I got a little attention, she'd literally take her breasts out to get focus back. I met my husband in 2002, we became official in February 2003. She would flirt constantly. The greatest day arrived, the one where I cut her out of my life, and she got humbled. She said to my then boyfriend, "I can show you things she could never dream of..." He stood up, walked away saying in return, "I doubt it." A man told her no. 😅she hated that sh!t. She's single now at almost 60. And I've been happily married for 19 years. Some women put male attention over EVERYTHING in life, sometimes even their own kids. 😢

Know it's her fault if it's something that crossed a line I'ma say something to him, IDC at that point because she makes zero effort to talk to me ever but is always on my man's phone. She literally came to me yesterday to tell me, my man of almost 10 years she's been around for 4, doesn't think the type of boobs she has is attractive... He never said anything to her directly, he's never even seen them (yes, I'm positive lol). For some reason she came to me to ask if he really feels that way. I told her... Girl you better start worrying about some other stuff cause that ain't it. He thinks she's been trying to weasel into my position because I get things she has to pay for herself for free because he is a good worker and she doesn't want to work, I can if I want but I was told if I didn't want to I shouldn't have to. She can't stand it. Lol I told her she better stop being concerned how my man views her when she was literally telling me he's a POS and I deserve better...she's not smart lol

OMG I was not expecting that butt slam on the vegetable chopper 🤣 Also, I'm pretty sure the pepper the guy was cutting when he wiped his eye was actually just a mini bell pepper and the one next to it was a Carolina reaper. I had a job in a retail store in the early 80's and the older lady that worked with us coughed and her false teeth came out and landed on the counter. She grabbed them and hurried putting them back it. It was too late, my coworker and I had already lost it. My coworker ask her "Did you forgot your Poligrip this morning" with a slight smile and I couldn't stop laughing all day. She took it really well and didn't scold us youngsters for laughing. I will never forget it and it still is just as funny to me today.

I realized a long time ago that I would rather be on my own than with someone that just wanted me for someone to sleep with. I think being secure in yourself, having your own career, your own friends and respect for yourself attracts the type of man that wants to be invested. Boy crazy gets a woman labeled as easy and slut shamed when it shouldn’t be like that. I think a lot of women that are boy crazy are insecure and wanting to be loved but don’t know how to go about finding it. It’s sad and I feel bad for them. My sister is boy crazy and I see the impact it has on my nephew with a new guy every few months

I was one of those “I have more guy friends than girl friends” girls in my 20s. Obviously all my ACTUAL bfs hated it, and suspected the guy friends of secretly tryna get it in. I defended them with my whole heart….aaand eventually every single one of those guys (the straight ones, anyway) proved that once they realized they had no romantic chance with me, they dipped on our “friendship”. Well, one or two stuck around, hoping I’d change my mind lol Anyway, it soured me a bit on male friends, and while I’m still friendly with male coworkers & acquaintances, I no longer try to be best buddies/pals/compadres with them. I have a solid circle of female friends, who’ve stuck with me even during my messiest times, & I no longer need male attention to validate me. Because of course, that’s what it was all about. I needed to feel like men found me attractive, fun, cool, etc. That was long, sorry! Got a lot of feelings on this subject lol

I have a ton of friends from either side… I’m 43 now and been married 16 years. My husband and I are into the car scene… he is JDM and I am American muscle. I have a lot of male friends because of this, but none of them are trying to “bed” me. I am friends with their wives/girlfriends, auntie to their kids, and consider them family. I’m not boy crazy nor have I ever been. I could careless if I am in a relationship or if someone likes me. My husband loves that I am really just one of the guys because I am into the same things he is and yet to him he gets my feminine side where everyone else gets my tomboy side. He is the only one that gets the girly girl me, everyone else gets the foul mouthed mechanic me…

Although I do have some male friends who have been in my life a long time and clearly aren't in it to 'have a chance with me' or whatever, I definitely feel you... It's just SO annoying if you meet someone and you click so well and then right when you feel like now you really have become good friends, they realise I'm not sexually interested in them and then they don't want to be friends anymore (in a few cases they even act like I did something wrong, 'lead them on' or some shit, doesn't matter at all if you've even straight out told them multiple times that you don't want to sleep with them 😠)

The story is the same for a lot of us. I think being a “pick me” is almost a rite of passage for young girls until you grow up and realise what’s up and you’re not special. I still have a lot of close male friends but my eyes are open to the reality of “hitting it off” with new male buddies and most of mine these days are mutual friends of my partner and I, we’re also close with their wives and girlfriends etc

We all had a blast with the attendants and the pilot! We played card games, snacked, danced, and all around were just being goofy. It was awesome! What a difference it makes for a crew when they don't have a plane full of people to take care of. Best flight I ever had.

@LazyIRanch
Жыл бұрын
I used to raise doves, and they are darling birdies. Not very smart, but very sweet. They are excellent parents to their young, and even to other bird's babies! Several years ago, there were two male doves in my aviary who became a bonded pair. Doves mate for life and are very devoted to their partners. I had to put those two boys in a separate cage because the biggest male of the aviary flock was hurting them. I found a big cage and brought the two boys inside the house. They were so cute, always grooming each other and building a nest. They would take turns sitting on the nest, which seemed sad because they were never going to lay eggs. I had an idea; my chickens' eggs are fertile, so lets put one in the nest and see what happens! They were so happy! They took excellent care of the egg, turning it frequently. The egg hatched in about 30 days, and that baby chicken had two proud daddies taking care of her. Doves feed their young with what's called "pigeon milk", but it's just regurgitated food the parents urp down the throats of their babies. Baby "Liberty" was okay with that at first, but soon she got tired of what they served her for dinner! Oh, we named her Liberty because she hatched on 9/11 and I wanted to give her a positive name in spite of it being such a terrible anniversary. I posted pics of this sweet little family on Facebook but caught hell from several of my evangelical family members about it. They told me I committed an evil sin by giving them that egg to hatch. Hey, I didn't make those birds gay, it's just a natural occurrence in nature! Some family members decided to block me after that. No great loss there.
