A few weeks have passed since my last video. After my five-week break in the seclusion of the Costa Rican rainforest, I traveled through the south of the country with a friend for a few more days and relaxed on the incredibly beautiful (probably the most beautiful) beaches of Pavones. I also spent time in Cuervos, a small sleepy town, and Golfito.
After my three months in Costa Rica, I had to leave the country because I only had a 90-day stay (tourist visa). The time in David, a small town in Panama, was a bit stressful. From here at the latest, the seriousness of life grabbed my feet and tried to pull them through the shredder. But not with me.
Back from the green paradise of the jungle to the gray madness of everyday life. It was clear to me that such a trip is not cheap and considering that I was relieved of 13,000 euros in Mexico and the whole stock and crypto market was not very friendly in 2022, I knew that money had to come into the tight coffers . At least I had a reliable accountant. Like a bricklayer, he punctually deducted money from me at the beginning of each month for services that he never performed. Since he hasn't filed a tax return, I'm threatened with draconian penalties and additional payments instead of firmly planned tax refunds (keyword corona flat rate and other advertising costs). In addition, all his fees are apparently gone forever. Pretty scum in human terms.
A well-paid and secure job with a permanent contract would be the logical conclusion for most people at this point.
But I didn't give up my well-paid and secure job to come crawling back afterwards. I do not wish to be under the yoke of bondage and plow the fields of others with it. Or to put it simply: I don't want to work for other people's dreams, I want to make my own come true. Driven by the idea, I never slept more than three or four hours during the two weeks in David because I knew that the time had come to realize my own ideas.
I spent about six weeks in this love hotel in Panama City, which I liked because everyone seems to be doing their own thing here. My goal was to shift my focus to generating many revenue streams to be able to travel (not travel) self-sufficiently without having to be dependent on an employer. I wanted to create added value for society. But how?
Many people may have problems conjuring an idea out of a hat at the push of a button... I, on the other hand, felt like I had 5000 "groundbreaking" ideas and on some days I didn't even know where my head was at. One of my routines was to read about 3-5 hours a day. Everything about international tax law, international company formation, decentralized crypto exchanges, transports from Latin America to Europe (e.g. coffee, Panela etc.) etc. The basic idea is simple: We all know our obligations that we have to fulfill... but very few people do It is clear that we have countless rights and privileges, which of course nobody told us about at school.
In Panama, after weeks of work, I finally came a big step closer to my goal and was now able to travel to Colombia in a relaxed manner and actively participate in life.
Whether the idea works or not - I want to be perfectly honest - is not important to me.
I have no problem with failing. However, the thought of one day lying on your deathbed and regretting a missed opportunity is much more unbearable. Therefore: No risk - no fun.
