my wife and I always played this on our travels in the car sadly she passed away on the 28/2/2015 aged just 46 my god I will miss her but this song will always remind me of her rest in peace jane my lovely love you forever brian I will go and see the fureys in concert at southport on the 21/3/15 and remember my lovely jane

absolutely wonderful love song. Tom Paxton's version is the best I have heard, but this is terrific as well. You have to love someone, relly love them to write this. I would want this played at my funeral for my wife to let her know how much i love her.

I actually spoke with Mr. Furey 2 years ago -a wonderful,wonderful guy. He mentioned how the only thing he hates nowadays is that the music scene is so disposable and that he might have caught a STD from deephogs mother several years ago.
