I always liked her, as a character, an actress, and for what she did for Worf's character. As much as I loved Jadzia, this is who Worf should have ended up with. She did (or could have) completed him. And they could have raised Alexander on the Enterprise together. Major missed opportunity there. Still, her death was an emotional one, and deeply felt by me and I assume other viewers as well.
@szahmad2416

Her death was meaningful. So was Jadzia's. One thing that Klingon culture taught us viewers well is that we can die with meaning as passionately as we seek to live; that there is fulfillment in such a death, even if there is anguish. No doubt Worf mourned Kaylar's loss, but in dying, she fulfilled the bond between Worf and Alexander; a bond both deeply needed. No doubt Worf mourned Jadzia, but she died fighting in the greatest war in the Alpha quadrant, a warrior and a partner.

I had a theory that more than just what we saw on screen happened between Worf and K'Ehleyr. After this episode, she appeared again in the episode "Reunion", which took place more than a year after this episode. I theorize that she and Worf mated in which Alexander was conceived and later giving birth to her son. That can only explain the sudden appearance of Alexander in the next episode in which K'Ehleyr appears.
@22steve5150
Жыл бұрын
I think due to Alexander's age it would be assumed that Alexander was born two or three years before Worf reported to the Enterprise-D. K'Ehleyr simply kept it from him because she thought he didn't really love her but would demand they be married anyways as tradition, plus that it would be expected of her that they be traditional and she give up her career to be a stay at home mom. So she thought she was saving them from being trapped in a loveless marriage while she is trapped in traditional klingon role as a wife and mother.

Few actors take roles with heavy facial appliances because they are of the belief that people will be unable to "see" their acting and expressions. Some actors are able to relate an expression regardless of the facial makeup. Suzie was one who was able to translate a role regardless of the makeup involved because she was never worried about it. Dorn already knew what to do because he came in knowing how he would play the role, but for Suzie as a guest star, she took it on and made the character hers and fans of the show could tell. Peter Vogt and James Sloyan have each played 3 different characters in Trek, all requiring heavy appliances, yet very few people can tell which ones they played because they can't make a distinctive enough impression.

The common phrase in English "a lot" means "many" or "much." You used the phrase correctly but simply used the wrong "a lot/allot."
