i learned to day trade by literally studying 1,000 of charts and started seeing certain patterns that pop up over and over and over again. I am profitable and not all my trades are winners, but the big difference now is, the losses are less than 10% and my runners are 50%+. It took WORK and frustration but well worth it.

Started trading in February for about a month with no background. All of February i got lucky and increased my portfolio 100%. Took a few months break and now i have increased it almost 300% in the past month. I attest these gains from taking emotions out of my trades and having a good stop loss. I came to the realization that holding a -30% bag is ridiculous because you can always make that back in the next trading day if you just cut the bag!

I have been trading for about 6 months now and just about every trade backfires and slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points . I try to do top down analysis but it doesn't work for me . I say to myself, clearly I'm in the 90% that lose money, so I open a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take and get the same result. I'm starting to feel hopeless, any advice for a struggling trader?

Your problem could be your stop loss is too close or you're watching your trades too much. Place it and walk away. Or you could just give up, trading isn't for everyone.
@elliotalderson9487
4 жыл бұрын
@@isabelcastellanos93 Don't listen to her, don't give up. Trading takes time(months, even years) to master, even the pros learn everyday. Never the less, if you lose money no matter which side you take, maybe you need to look at how you are managing active trades rather than how you are entering them. My advice, find a mentor . And also, try incorporating the use of oscillators, Bollinger and pivot points into your strategy. And most importantly move to higher TFs(4h or 1D preferably), you'll thank me later .
@robertwilson2182

@@elliotalderson9487 You're correct, I don't lose money every single trade, but my main problem is trying to let my runners run. Very rarely do I catch big moves . Instead they go a few pips in my direction, then go against me if when I try holding them. Also my entries could use a lot of improvement. A mentor would be amazing, but getting one is easier said than done. If it's not too much to ask, do you know any legit ones?

I just started and had a 20% profit on the day for a total of $17. I fought myself all day, watching charts and stocks candlesticks etc. but I continued telling myself, that’s a profit. A profit I can put part of to my next trade. Can’t wait to actually be over there pdt level. Got a long way to go… but I will myself to be emotionally strong and intelligent. Following a strategy.

I’m only thinking about getting started in trading now, I’ve watched tons of online videos and am worried that online courses are both expensive & would create a ‘crowded strategy’, which I know you addressed in this video saying that your strategy is as profitable as ever. I think the information you gave in this video is very valuable & genuine, in the sense that you’re not trying to lure people into your online classes. In saying that, it indirectly encourages viewers, if not straight away, but in the future to possibly buy your courses, which is a win win in the long term. I have started to watch your Small account challenge and have found the first few episodes interesting & helpful, I’m yet to set up an account & I think I will start with a simulator as per your advice. I’m still very interested to understand the actual strategy behind every trade & the right times to buy and sell but I’m sure that will come with time. Do you think any of the Robin Hood app for beginners starting with say $500? I read about the fill taking so long that you lose money long term but I’m scared that using another broker with margins/leverage when I start would be too risky like you did in your small account series. Sorry this is such a long comment, I admire that you reply to most comments and wanted to get some advice from someone who seems genuine, thanks. A simple reply about crowded strategies & robinhood/ starting broker would be appreciated. Thanks Ross.

There is a lot of helpful trading knowledge that is gone over in the courses, I don't only teach my strategy! As for brokers, I personally wouldn't use an app to trade intra-day as I need quick executions and reliability which an app at this point just can't supply in my opinion. This video has cemented my drive to stop and take a step back (after my first ever trade on Nov 13)and invest in these tools and your program. I haven't heard a single word about energy and expectation until now. I'm sorry I missed the live seminar yesterday, but I'm grateful you sent me the recorded video. YOU are a catalyst for change in a whole life.

My staring balance is most likely going to be much smaller than yours 😄 but I feel the same way. I have this damn voice telling me becoming a successful trader is akin to becoming an astronaut, the probability feels as though it’s so low that it’s not a viable consideration for a somewhat unstable / uncertain / demanding life circumstances. I think, it’s because it’s feels extremely unstructured, foreign. This is the fear and doubt catalyst, it’s powerful and paralyzing. But mentorship with a tried and tested structure / strategy I see absolutely no reason why we can’t replicate it once we learn how all the elements interact with each other. I’m going to get the warrior pro course soon.

This video is not about trading, is about life. What you said about meditating and being thankful for the opportunity, really helped me to change my feelings towards a design project I've been ghosting because I screwed some things up. I restarted by being grateful to be able to work from home on my own terms and BOOM!! inspiration came through and I had an idea that led me to developing a new concept for the project

My take after watching this 40 minutes video: - Trade in a 'Day Trading Simulators' for at least a couple of months, or until you start making profit with some consistency - Set the expectation low. Trading is a marathon not a sprint. Don’t set goals like I have to make $10k by next week - Important to find the one strategy that works for you and stick to that - Walk away when you reach your daily goal. Better walk away with profit (leave some $ on the table) than staying & losing - Diversify your income sources. Make some money on the side, other than trading (what he is doing with this video series) - Call your broker and set a daily 'Max loss' and 'Max Share Size' on your account so your emotions don’t get the better of you - Stop looking at your 'Account Balance' every day (P&L, Account balance). Some days you win and some you lose. It’s important to see what kind of day you have but looking at the month P&L is a better indicator. Looking at your total balance in bad days pushes you to take bad positions - August has been one of the worst months for me. October has been one of the best

Thank you Ross. This was an exceptionally motivating video. Ive watched several of your videos. All of which are well edited, expansive, and relatable.This has been the best for me so far. I had a red day on Friday, had FOMO and jumped on AMC at the bell (Totally tossed all your strategic recommendations to the side and went for it, and stuck with the dream for the day) I am a rookie, and it was a total rookie mistake. Ive really beat myself up since the close of the day, until now. Your video has inspired me to get back to a workable plan and be consistent. I will also download a simulator over the weekend. Thanks again! You Inspire!

A long shot!! I get super excited when I see you walking through G.B as I sometimes attend yoga classes at Sruti just around the corner :) I am from Hudson, just about 40 min south of you. I started trading Crypto about 2 years ago and within a few months turned 600 dollars into 6000. I thought I had it all figured out, but before I knew it I lost every penny. I could have let that demoralize me but, the total opposite happened and I became more motivated than ever. For the last 16 months I have studied every day from 8-12 hrs per day while working 2 full time jobs (Between 80-106 hrs per week). When I'm working I'm listening to trading podcasts, books on tape and of-course KZitem videos. When I do have free time I"m buried in books. My goal is to learn every possible thing I can while saving up a "decent" amount of capital to get started. Sometimes tho it feels as if its going at a snails pace as even with 2 jobs it can be hard to really get ahead as what comes in tends to go right back out., Here goes the long shot. This video really hit home as you mentioned that if you could do it over you would have tried to find an internship . My question is do you yourself take on interns or work trades ? If not I totally understand, and if you do what would one have to do to set up a meeting ? Either way I thank you for all of your amazing and free info. It is so great to see someone who looks a bit more like myself making a living in this world :) There is no doubt in my mind that I will become a successful trader, my only question is when :) -Happy holidays -Chad
