You have loved lots of girls in the sweet long ago. And each one has meant heaven to you. You have vowed your affection to each one in turn. And have sworn to them all you'd be true. You have kissed neath the moon while the world seemed in tune. Then you left her to hunt a new game. Has it ever occurred to you lately, my boy? That she's probably doing the same. Chorus I wonder who's kissing her now. Wonder who's teaching her how. Wonder who's looking into her eyes. Breathing sighs, telling lies. I wonder who's buying the wine. For lips that I used to call mine. Wonder if she ever tells him of me. I wonder who's kissing her now. If you want to feel wretched and lonesome and blue. Just imagine the girl you loved best. In the arms of some fellow who's stealing a kiss. From the lips that you once fondly pressed. But the world moves of pace and the loves of today. Flit away with a smile and a tear. So you never can tell who is kissing her now. Or just who you'll be kissing next year. Chorus

I think it was copyrighted in and around 1911, have you heard Bobby Darin's version, it's great.

It was written in 1909 for a show called The Prince of Tonight.

@@ijwmoore Whilst the images in this clip depict men in army uniform as many men who had gone to war were wondering about their sweethearts while away in Europe, as Ian Moore rightly points out, it was written before the war in 1909. Henry Burr initially had a hit with this song, but my favourite version is by Perry Como. A very sad and emotional lyric of a lost and unrequited love.

Beautiful rendition of a great song. I decided to arrange this for Barbershop Quartet. If you are interested in hearing it go to Ron James Music here on KZitem. Once there, simply search for I Wonder Who's Kissing Her Now.

It should be cause it's from the 1900s and anything enters the public domain after a highest of 70 years and it's been around 120 years so it's definitely in the public domain...

This is the correct speed. Bear in mind the time of the recording when the technology of the day was in it's infancy. The frequency range was limited, which distorted the singers voice. In addition, most of the artists of the day appeared in theatres and music halls, that had no amplification at all. To project their voices they adopted an artificially clipped delivery. When amplification came in, the "Old Guard ", where referred to as "Shouters". It was much later in the 20th century that full frequency recording that we enjoy today was developed. My current recording of the song here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/sZxt23t4mpyAjW0 makes use of that. DL Staffordshire, UK.
