One thing that I like to do which it’s mental, say you have 10 reps something on the heavy side, I count to 5 and then count to 5 again while I keep going, my head just make it seem easy

If you’re lifting something that’s heavy , it shouldn’t be something you can do for 10 reps

@@BratatoChip it’s called pushing yourself??

@@V.Scheff.V no lmao. If you’re lifting something 10 times that isn’t a working set dude. Pushin yourself is something that should be heavy for 2-3 reps for strength

LMAO doing upright rows instead of overheard press is really stupid for the average person.

Not at all, the upright row and overhead press are two different fundamental physical movement variations. The upright row = vertical pull, overhead press = vertical push. Although, doing the upright row without proper form and a safe variation, than yes, that is really stupid for every person. I recommend you do further research and further develop your fitness knowledge.

@@joeytour5618 I have a degree in biology and am in school for further anatomy and physiology education to become a sports therapist! :) I chose my words very carefully in my post; "the average person" suffers from lower cross syndrome which will guarantee a level of passive internal shoulder rotation. In addition to this, the passive stretch on our lower lats, and deep core stabilizers like the QL, and the posterior attachments for a transverse abdominis will disable the muscles. Loss of muscular proprioception is completely automatic and is not perceivable. If you can't feel the anchoring muscle's attachments, you will not be able to stabilize the opposite end while it's under load, in this case your deltoids, dangerously close to a resting position your body is subconsciously used to. I've done my research.

I'm just a casual lifter, but I always did upright rows for the vanity shoulder muscles. So yeah, a bit accessory.
