Labour was struggling with how to leave because they were all remain and wanted to overturn it. That's why they lost the election. They also equated leave with right wing politics because their "left wing" version of brexit wasn't leaving at all.

@minxymissy1 I have a lot of time for Andrew Neil but I prefer Iain Dale because he for the most part lets people he is interviewing get to the end of a sentence. As a result he has much more cordial and meaningful discussions.

@minxymissy1 Neil has deteriorated lately. He used to be excellent but now he just does what all the BBC interviewers do: asks a question and butts in very aggressively half a sentence into the reply and carries on like that the whole time. He was terrible during the BBC election coverage. The whole BBC coverage was dire. I listened to LBC and then watched ITV instead.

He's clearly a mentally ill Labour voter, because his granddad and dad voted labour, and he doesn't have the intellect to understand Labour's policies. We aren't all as dumb and ignorant as him!! He sounds like the sort who slags off Mike Ashley, but goes to the match every week, buys his Newcastle top (from Sports Direct) and spends all his money in the ground - therefore putting it directly into Ashley's pockets!! 🙄

Would i do it again. Yes in a heartbeat .

Iain is one of the best commentators in the media today. His performance on Question Time was brilliant; balanced and non partisan, a voice of reason. I think he would make a great addition to the BBC news set up, as they (The BBC) have drifted so far off centre, they need people like Iain to restore balance.

Iain's skill is waiting patiently as the caller or guest slowly digs their own embarrassing or hypocritical hole so then they peer up from that hole and try to scramble out somehow and Iain DOES NOT lend a hand but continues to talk civilly as they sink lower and lower from normal eye view. Brilliant and very entertaining without slander or rudeness from him.
