0:31 Iam is a gift that God has sent this world to uplift all of us. I’ve been addicted to him since he walked on the stage and I’ll tell you why. People everywhere is suffering from so many things and for me I’m 67, widow,lives alone and completely disabled and housebound. I suffer from extreme pain from day to day , but when watching Iam sings he takes it all away and I know he is doing the same for millions of people. I start my day listening to him and my nights sometimes up to 5 hours a day. Iam is such a sweet lovable young man with a smooth buttery voice that is so soothing. I thank God for sending him to me. And I want to thank you for picking up on his videos and following him thru. I love the way you interpret his voice, body language, and who he really is. I hope you as a man know how important you are and can be for young boys to know that it’s ok to love, to cry, to be sensitive because our would has become so hard. I’ve enjoyed watching every Iam video you’ve shown which is all of them so far. You have done a great job and I enjoy your show, which I never would have even known who you are without our boy. I enjoy music and have never watched a video reaction on utube until Iam starting singing and out of all I’ve watched only two have really done him justice and one was you. Thank you so much,Patti

Such a beautiful tribute..it would make me cry if he sang it to me☺️..It’s difficult to learn how not to show you made a mistake in a performance..it comes with experience I believe. The lady and author of the song is Alanis Morissette..as was suggested by another comment..the duo with Oliver Steele was pretty magical too☺️❤️‼️

Hi Ya, what Iam is saying is "uce". I'm a Poly-Mely [Polynesian-Melanesian} and if you hang around us long enough, you'll hear this term dropped from time to time. Iam's mother is Samoan & "Uce" comes from the Samoan word uso, which is used when a man addresses another man as his brother, or a woman addresses another woman as her sister. Iam uses it to acknowledge his fans in crowd in an endearing/friendly manner. Every now & then he also says ‘yessah’ but in this instance he is saying uce. Hope that’s helpful. Also I love that he sang this song about his Mom & for his Mom. To Iam if your watching this reaction, “Alu Ou alu! Ia faamanuia tele le Alii ia te oe uso!”

It’s called a “Lei” not necklace. The “leaves” are called Maile leaves given to Hawaiian royalty in old Hawaii. The white sweet flowers are tuberose. He’s saying yes, as they are calling his name.

I thought of you, QoFy when I watched this performance. I knew that you would love it, and you always notice the details!!! For Iam to be so good at 18 years old is absolutely impressive! He will need to get a better "poker face" when he makes a mistake. Every singer makes mistakes, thats is not what he will be judged for...unless he keeps giving his "tell" away. But over all, he showed that he can belt it out just like the others, but I prefer his softer, more intimate feeling, songs.

I don't think it will affect him. He was honest about it n most of us listeners did not noticed it. Despite the fact, he is still amazingly good.

I think, like Luke said, it's endearing, but as you said there's no need for it because nobody but himself, and the other people on stage, would know anyway. I don't think it will do him any harm that he admitted it, I think it will help him not do it and I think that most of us don't actually care and we just think it's human. It makes him authentic and real and relatable.

I have a trained ear (music teacher) and this was the first time I noticed a few pitch mistakes - so unusual for Iam, and I can see that he's hard on himself. You're right - with time he'll learn to cover mistakes up. Some people are saying that all his songs sound the same and he puts people to sleep (I love him and don't care). Do you think he's just coasting and should develop his voice more and explore other genres?
@bebic7903
Жыл бұрын
Definitely don't think Iam is 'coasting'. He's 18 years old. He has time to develop his voice. And I think he's done several 'genres' while on AI. I think he's better at some than others....but who isn't? Personally, I would love to hear him do more soul or blues. His version of Sam Cooke's "Bring It On Home"...killer. Also enjoyed his version of Lionel's song "Stuck On You". I do appreciate your insight and comments.
@oksanaml9279
Жыл бұрын
@@bebic7903 I also enjoy him a lot with bluesy and soulful tunes, also the reggae beat which Stuck On You has. There is a vocal coach named KariSma on KZitem who does reactions, and he thinks Iam is only using 40% of his potential, which I find exciting - as you say, he's only 18.

IAM even hated choosing what could be a Staple to his future from an artist that no longer has one. This episode was the worst. Other than him dedicating it to his mom.
@TheZacheryMantis
Жыл бұрын
I have to say, though. This IAM song was a little different. It sucked that he was forced into singing one of her songs. I am a big fan of hers. But not for IAM to try to ReMaster something that is coming from a woman's mind. Without changing up the words. This one was a thumbs-down for IAM. Because of her. Brought out nothing from him. Much like a Safe Song, OK that and no one listens to Alanis M. Anymore. And this ploy to be relevant on the back of who will be the best singer ever is shameless. She will go down in History as a "One-Hit-Wonder"
