Love it, just got one of these pumps and I wired up a cheap 100w solar panel with a little charge controller, keeps the regular 12v marine deep cycle battery charged effortlessly. Trolling motor foot switch to wire into the circuit for a “push-button” pump

There is also a 120v transfer pump in HF which is about $20 costly but would avoid the need of stepdown and conversion.

I’m not certain but I think your pressure gauge isn’t registering anything because it’s on the wrong side of the pump. Reading after the tanks and before the pump will only show pressure from gravity. Install it after the pump output if you’re interested in how much “push” is coming from the pump.

Thanks for the tip, I will set it up that way soon, as we are entering watering season:)

Your example seems good for a water source located ABOVE or at the same level with a water consumption field. What about to fill a 55 GA barrel standing on your truck sucking water from a pond or a stream ? Does it gonna work ? What hose length such pump gonna support ? How soon a water is gonna come to a pump body before it's gonna burn down ? Your answers would really help.

How did it go with the algae? The reason your pressure gauge wasn't reading is probably because it's on the suction side of the pump.

No problems with algae at all. The north side of the barn is a perfect spot it seems. Thanks for the pressure gauge info!

Think this can suck water straight up a 1-1/4 inch 10ft pipe?

Shoot, we don't know. Steve says check the specs on Harbor Freight's website. We are relying on gravity partially to help the pump so he doubts it, but he says only the specs will tell you for sure. ;)

Can you run this pump as a replacement rv water pump
@thecommonmilkweed
3 жыл бұрын
No, because it does not have an on demand pressure switch like an rv pump would.
