Appreciate the info on the iBuyPower rig. I have one that is experiencing the rattling noise and of course thought it was a fan. It's starting to overheat now too, so good to know it's actually the AIO that came with the build. Seems to be that this AIO that has the pump in the radiator, rather than the CPU block, is manufactured by Apaltek, an OEM that iBuyPower uses. I'll be replacing with an air cooler and see how that goes. The rig I have has the i7-9700F CPU.

same issue for me - not overheating yet. seems to go away after about 10 mins. it happens on boot, and is getting more and more frequent, for about the last month or so. i have had my PC for a couple years, from costco

Yes, it did drive me nuts. I was sure it was a fan but when I stopped the fans, the rattling noise continued. I figured it was coming from that little black square panel by putting my ear next to it. Then I didn't know what to do so I luckily found this video.

Do you have any videos replacing the liquid coolant with the Hyper 212? I bought a 212 Spectrum V3 because two years after I bought my ibuy the liquid coolant went bad. I told them to replace it with anything but liquid coolant. They did not honor that request. A year and a half later, again the liquid cooler is making these horrible noises. Ibuy told me to buy this particular fan but I'm terrified of messing up the computer. I too have the i7-9700F. I don't have anything registering the heat so I have no idea how hot it gets. Sometimes this noise is persistent, sometimes it actually stops. If I play a game, it really starts freaking out. With all the extras that come with the 212 makes me panic even more.

I believe km having the same problem with noise, but realizing now that youtube really sucks for searching a specific channel. Do you have other videos on this ibuypower issue? My noise only started a coupoe weeks ago but only when CPU is upright, laying it sideways the noise goes away.

You might have air in the system. It is a closed system so you can't add liquid anyways. Just replace it.
