Interesting video once the river ice starts to break up in the foreground, bringing the action closer to the camera. The lack of sound was disappointing.

Dangit We see it a little too often! It gets really scary when it jams up against the bridge a mile downstream from here, river comes up to nasty flood stage in just 15 minutes, then breaks up just as fast.

The glory of nature! This is the best river ice break up video I have ever seen. Is it safe for me to assume this is the Rock River, MI emptying into Lake Superior? At the video beginning I was puzzled by the perfect straight black line in the foreground. Nope...it was the ice natural way of splitting over and over again. Fascinating. Thanks for sharing.

Rock River emptying into the Mississippi in Illinois. It is a pretty little river but it can get kind of naughty sometimes!
