💯 stole my words. ever since i had a cold brew, it's always been a cold brew for me. and it's stronger with richer notes, and i love the taste of that strength. such a win overall. The fact that it’s steeped like that for a whole 24 hrs makes it a special elite kind of drink that makes it more worth it. Like I drink coffee to stay awake so yes and I want it to taste amazing. Why would I settle.. I used to be a sbux barista years ago and I used to make their cold brew. Rewarding process. But don’t buy sbux btw. For one, boycott anyway because fr€€ P@lest!ne! But the prices are a scam and their coffee isn’t ethically sourced AND they found a carcinogen (cancer causing substance) in it years back. It was in the news. Surprised people still buy from them despite knowing that.

I find that cold brew has a much more specific flavour in that you can really taste the characteristics of each individual blend. Whereas an iced long black is much more similar between blends as the flavours don’t have as long to develop depth.
@zach2954

Quite the opposite. Cold brewing you'll never be able to extract the acidity from the coffee, whereas brewing hot extraction (single origin, blend, or whatever) you'll have the largest diversity of flavors. I used to love cold brew until I started brewing my own specialty coffee. I'd highly recommend you try more developed single origin med-light roasted beans and you'll find really complex filter coffee (hot or iced!)
