Most people don't know that Icehouse had a great first hit also named "Icehouse." The Aussie word "icehouse" is a term used for nuthouse/sanitarium. Other great Icehouse songs are: 1) My Obsession 2) Heartbreak Kid 3) Man Of Colours (Great song!) 4) Electric Blue. Enjoy!

When they recorded Icehouse, the band was called Flowers. They switched to Icehouse after their (excellent) first album of that name.

Gonna comment prior to watching 'cause.........."Crazy" by Icehouse is my favorite song of all time. I was 16 when it came out. I'm 52 now. Still my favorite song. ;) Okay, onto the reaction.

Oh I see what you did there - very clever!:p Seriously though, love this song, The reverb gives a chilled out vibe, like it takes you to another place. The music video seems to add to this chilled out, transient, early morning vibe, which transitions to a stronger 80s rock ballad. The vibe makes it a fav for me.

I think this is one of those songs you have to have memories or experiences attached to in order to be really into it. Also, I was a teenager when this song was big, and I honestly don't think the trebly, reverb-drenched 80's production values have aged well. Incidentally, I have a looooooong list of songs I'd love to see you react to, and not all of them because I think you'll love them, but some because I know you'll have opinions about them

I was living in Paris at the time this song came out. I remember it blasting from the Metro stations' speakers. Brings back incredible memories for me. Have loved Icehouse ever since. Songs like Great Southern Land, Cross the Border, No Promises, Electric Blue, Where the River Meets the Sea, Big Wheel, Miracle Mile, and my favorite of Icehouse: Touch the Fire. Crazy is a good song; the aforementioned songs-- are a lot better.

I wouldn't turn it up either. I watched this because I'd forgotten the song! Obviously some people will love this song, fair enough, if we all liked and hated the same things life would be very boring Respect Angela, for an honest response❤❤

Written by Iva Davies, Bob Kretschmer and Andy Quinta. Davies, the lead singer, rhythm guitarist, keyboardist, is the constant member. The music video for the USA 🇺🇲 is different than the Australian video. Good 👍 song 🎵 . Iva Davies and John Oates wrote a song. It was on the same album as Crazy. Suggested song 🎵 Icehouse and John Oates perform Electric Blue.

Ex post facto, FWIW, The video for this song is incredible! The lead singer’s resemblance to a young Frank Sinatra as they morph from Frank to him during the instrumental bridge in the middle . . . is both undeniable and uncanny, check it out if you’re so inclined!

My advice to the day one crew. You need to do research on a song before doing a reaction. If a song didnt make the top 40, or its lousy like Harper valley pta, eliminate the lousy songs. I'm about to quit this channel, too many lousy songs being reacted too..
