I am utterly grateful for the amazing timing my mom and dad had in allowing me to be born into this world... Born in 1965, I had the pleasures of not only being able to enjoy a safe and happy childhood but to live my teenage and young adult years in the 80s, where the best songs this world has to offer were created. Icehouse will live on in my heart forever as one of the greatest 80s bands. Not sure if I’m alone in this, but I feel that the older I get, the more I seem to appreciate the magic of the music written in the 80s . It’s so damn beautiful.

Never heard of Icehouse or this song until today. I grew up in the 80s, when 1990 came we thought it was over. When 2000 came I thought I'd had heard it all. 23 years later I still find something new from this era. Amazing.

@@fabonzanaon8177 Funnily enough I had an admirer from my teens. I gave him an opportunity to go out with me, and he chose to go back to his long-term girlfriend (they had split up) and years later they did not get married to each other. Time moved on, and when I bumped into him, he realised and said he wish he had been with me. He was married and had children, too late!

Born in 66 and to young to watch england win there only world cup , it was made up by living through the 70s , and best of all the 80s , best times ever , gave me my best memories , being at school which i loved , oblivious to anything going on in the world , just getting on with life , the best music and television , so wish i could relive them times and if i had the chance i would take my kids with me to show them how good it was as the world they are being brought into now is full of so many negative things x
