Rhys Fishes 😂😂 sorry mate got two comments mixed up (somebody asking about Assynt’s gonna be equally confused 😂!). Most places we fished were about £50-60 a day for trout. You can pay a lot more if you fish on exclusive beats or are after salmon, but we tended to fish where the locals fish. Access can be tricky, even in the south, and usually involved driving along a sketchy gravel road. The river were fishing in this video is the west Ranga and we got permits from the salmon lodge (westRanga.is). They have guides for both salmon and trout and to be honest I’d probably go with a guide next time for a day at least - we spent so much time driving around and looking for fishable water and barely scratched the surface 👍🏼
