253 miles of range. Actual use was 142 miles with 68 miles indicated remaining. Assuming an accuracy of 66% or there abouts, say 45 miles. Total actual range from indicated 253 is 187 miles. Conversely, 31% left after driving 142 miles would give 205 miles total range,( 142/69 x 100). Obviously different conditions apply for each charge up but will be interesting to find out what the average is going to be. Real world figures are way more important than ‘indicated range’.

Yes, looking at mi/kWh is probably the better way to judge what range you have.

with so much electonic on these things you probably would do good to shut off some monitoring functions or fans. crazy how much some of these things use.....10A for just a heater blower ...kzitem.info/news/bejne/2K-hyp6Pp5dqYKQ 2miles/kWhr is really abysmal.

That behavior with range on the app and range when you actually start the EV is very similar to what I've always seen with my ID.4

Great vid - highlights the impact the cold has on range. Proposed subject for future vid - wear n tear of seats; I noticed your white seats and was wondering will they stay that way or have you done anything to protect them with something like Gtechniq seat clean/protect sprays?

@@RealBuzzLife I look forward to the update. Another question - you had any rear seat passengers yet and, if so, have they raised points about no middle armrest, lack of centre vents (may not be needed) and inability to open their door windows as they are fixed - are these missing items/functions a problem?

Thanks for the video 👍 Did you find an easy way to reset the trip meter? I always used to reset it easily on the e-Nero from the steering wheel, but haven’t noticed anywhere easy in the Buzz… yet😇

I don’t own a VW EV but have a Peugeot e208 and the ‘fuel gauge’ or ‘Guessometer’ as I like to call it is just as bad. I’ve left on a journey where it says over 200 miles range, driven 120 miles and it’s telling me to stop and charge urgently as have less than 20 miles left! Turns out the estimating is completely rubbish and I now just look at the % left. Mine is doing 3.4 in the winter so you’re right about the buzz being inefficient.

I've got a Cupra Born that is also on the MEB platform. The app does the same thing. I don't trust the app when it comes to range. This is why that guy who headed up the software bit of VAG has been fired. The tech on MEB platform cars has proven to be unreliable.

210 miles instead of 253. Pretty poor range for a 72k vehicle

According to the EV database, at 70 mph constant in cold conditions ( colder than 6 or 7 c), it's range is 145 miles. Now take off 15 miles to save for the oversubscribed and unreliable infrastructure, just in case of problems to get to another charger and the range is 130 miles. Now add the most efficient way to charge it on a repeating long run, is to charge it to 80 %, now the working range is 101 miles ? All for £60K. Looks nice though.

70 odd grand for that is absolute madness, I mean the buzz is kind of cool, and I do like it, but in no way is it worth 70 grand, for that money all I see is plastic fantastic really, I mean there isn't really any hint of it being that kind of money, and it only seats 5 people, OK the boot space is great, but no I just don't see myself sending that kind of money on this van, simply because I feel it just ain't worth it, 50-55, maybe 60 at a push but no not 70 grand, no way,
