a special note - you have to prompt it different. way different (and imo better) - since day 1 it uses a prompt thats based on a sentence/s like structure. SD and a bunch of others have made humans sound like robots (or math?) and yeah, once you get their way of prompting - you could re run some of those tests. It's WILD what i'm able to make - having used their sentence structure prompting (lonnng sentences!).

I noticed that! I didn't put it in the video, but-- I think it was the Batman example I show toward the end. Prompting for Batman earlier in the prompt had him in the foreground, and the Joker in the background. Reversing it yielded the opposite. Pretty smart. At some point I'll go into a deeper dive on prompting here-- Those always take a lot more testing and research.

@TheoreticallyMedia I just P.M.'d Matt suggesting he watch your video because of a something very important you've done in testing out text (I especially time stamped to Matt the 11:52 mark in your video) which is to prompt for text not as a separate element but as part of an already existing element in the image. So much more important to me since I can easily get any free image editor to overly much better, virtually perfect text, than any current text-to-image AI tool.

It was a fairly basic prompt in all honesty: The cover to a supernatural mystery novel set in the pacific northwest called "Alan Wake" the novel is written by "Danke Mindy", a small quote reads: "I've never read this book - Stephen King" I did run it with Magic Prompt on, and those results came back with: "A supernatural mystery novel cover titled "Alan Wake" by "Danke Mindy". The cover features a dark and stormy night in the PacificNorthwest with a lighthouse and a silhouette of a man with a flashlight. The small quote reads: "I've never read this book - Stephen King". So again, not a WHOLE lot of detail there.

@@JaxonBeckett you're writing that ideogram does likeness not to be the best? Well now... appears to be a reappearing thing, eh? Midjourney behaves the same way. I really don't see anything different here to hype something which really isn't better or a "Midjourney Killer"... and trust me, I use a lot of different AI generators, nothing comes close to MJ's output and prompt-execution. Midjourney need to be careful offering free options (I think it’s already been pulled) ultimately it will be the high paying profitable users subsidising this and as the market becomes ever more saturated and competitive there will need to be more incentives for the companies to keep people paying rather than onboarding lots of people just looking for free stuff.
@TheoreticallyMedia
20 күн бұрын
Totally. In all honesty, I think one of the underlying benefits of MJ pulling free trials early on was that it built a dedicated audience who were actually (literally) invested in them. I think a short term free trial for the web version was a good idea, but truthfully, I'm not sure they need to do it. Word of mouth from the hardcore is almost all the marketing they need.

Man in the Blue Business Suit? Yeah-- I can see that. To me, that comes down to a taste thing. I like running that kind of bland prompt, just so we can see the model at a baseline. It's such a "stock" image, I think any image generator can handle it, so it gives you a good idea of what the model looks like at its core. From there, it's just a matter of prompting for more jazz, and playing around with the sliders to see what you'll get. Funny enough, it's why I've started doing more community showcases in these videos. I started to feel like a lot of the examples were too representative of MY aesthetics, and that was unfair to these models. I really want to showcase what they do through the eyes and tastes of others as well.
