I cannot believe how beautiful this woman is inside and out. She just goes up there and literally pours her heart out. Her performances always leave me so emotionally shaken. Idina is a true artist. I just cannot think of anyone else who is able to touch me the same way. God bless you, Idina. P.S. Funny that the most perfect creature on the planet should sing a song entitled ''Creep'')))

wow, i am at lost for words. I have never heard this song before I saw this video, but idna sang it so well. So much emotion, i could tell she really doesn't feel special all the time (even though every one is special especially her), and sometimes feels weird or like a creep. This is really empowering, showing me that even the most famous perfect people doubt themselves sometimes too, just like all of us. Love you idina

when she labeled this her "anti-empowerment" song, I immediately thought of the youtube channel "school of life" and their video "in defense of melancholy". simultaneously, I thought of the movie "inside out" and the philosophical concept of the hedonic treadmill. being happy, proud, uplifting, empowered, joyous and all around shiny are certainly great emotional states to be in. but it would be impossible to always be this. sometimes, you have to understand and be okay with the emotional states of sadness, melancholy, fear, anger, doubt. they are necessary lows that allow you a chance to view life differently. a moment of darkness that puts the brighter aspects of life into a clearer perspective. you must embrace these darker things before you can... well... Damnit. ... before you can let them go.

The irony being that this song was basically thom yorke taking the piss out of the annoying litany of songs at the time written by incredibly popular bands about how much they felt like outcasts while selling albums to millions of people. But original intent is not necessarily tied to what one gets out of a song.

I have...feelings, about this. Definitely feelings. I love Idina, seen her live twice, once in Wicked, once in If/Then. But this...feels forced. She cuts the long note of the hook, and she entirely avoids the ending verse, instead replacing it with ooh's and aah's. I love her, I have from the time I was young and listened to Rent. But this feels...false, for her. I don't know if it was the position, bad night, or just wasn't feeling the song, but it didn't work out.

This sucks. She is a gorgeous, charming, intelligent, wealthy woman. No man has ever called her a creep to her face. She is the exact opposite of who this song is written for. It is written for the ugly, awkward, strange young men who struggle to find a woman who wants to be in the same room as them, let alone be with them romantically. It's for them men who actually get called "creep" by women.
