One of the best cover of this I’ve ever heard. At 76, I’ve been playing guitar since 1955 and blew out my hearing from live Hendrix and Cream concerts in 1967… it’s a joy to hear a Beatles song played with acoustic instruments with all the nuances and harmonies. The bass playing is perfect! Balanced beautifully with the rest, the entire video is a work of art!

Im 65 in a weeks time. So, like many who have made comments, I can say that i remember the beatles as a 4 year old like it was yesterday esp blanket radio and monocrome tv, everything was the beatles. I grew up with them, the first ever record i bought was help in 1965 when i was 6 years old, cant remeber what it cost, more than my 2 shillings pocket money. Without the beatles and before skiffle there would not be music as we know it, the beatles where the first to write and play their own songs, no studio musicians just 4 liverpool guys. Revolver and rubber soul, Sgt Pepper, white Album and abbey road are my favorites. They will always be the first. For me the 60s,70s and part 80s where the greatest decades in music , i dont care what others think, the public disection of everything which really isnt our business.....we have a lot to thank the beatles for. @@RickZepp We did record back in the 60's, but, unfortunately the only tape that we recorded on does not exist any longer. Our keyboard player was the one who had it last, and when I tried contacting him just a few years ago, for some reason he didn't want to talk to me, and acted like he didn't even know me. However, I did get it out of him that he no longer had any band tapes! :( I do have some CD's of bands that I've played in over the years, but, they're a combination of Country, and some of the old rock n roll. I'm a drummer and a good friend of Barry McGuire (Eve of Destruction), and have backed him at a concert where other bands played also. I don't know if you're familiar with Country music artists, but, if you are, the last band that I was in we opened for Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam, Tracy Byrd, Jo Dee Messina, and Little Texas. We also did a pre concert show for Reba McEntire/ Brooks & Dunn. Sorry, I didn't mean to rattle on about all this!

@@patricking6512 Thank you Patrick for taking the time to respond. Are you familiar with Barry’s version of California Dreamin’? I believe it’s just Barry singing to the same Mamas & Papa’s backing vocal track with different instrumental arrangement. I like both versions; Barry’s and the M&P big hit. Are you the drummer on Barry’s version? If I was the drummer, I’d be mad how they basically drowned out the drum track. Not a big fan of country, especially any country music over the past 50 years 😂 I do have some Cash (both Johnny and Rosanne), Marty Stuart, Marty Robbins, Patsy Cline, etc.

@@RickZepp Yes, I'm familiar with Barry's version of California Dreamin', I like both versions also. Did you know that Barry is the one who got The Mama's & Papa's signed with Dunhill records? I didn't do any recording with Barry, I met him when I was playing in a Christian band, and we became good friends, and then I backed him on just a couple of songs, on this multi groups concert. As far as country music, I've played it for many years, along with old time rock & roll, but I don't like any of the new stuff, at all! After George Strait was where my desire for country music stopped! You mentioned Patsy Cline, well, she's my all time favorite! Take care.

I'm 73 and I and my bar band do loads of Beatles stuff as well as other hits from the 50's until now. The pipes are still working so we will play until it's too embarrassing. Then we'll just play for ourselves. This song you covered so well is one of the first Beatle songs I learned to play. From the sound of you guys, you could go on for years and years. Very polished rendition.❤

How wonderful this interpretation for " If I needed someone" a song composed by George Harrison. The instrumental part is impeccable and so is the vocal. Congratulations to this trio.

Great performance of this Beatles classic by George Harrison!! It really triggers wonderful old feelings of being young and happy and free, growing up in the 60s and 70s. Best music of the 20th century and you guys really rocked it 😊 2:31
